The terrible big misconception right now is that closing down and staying home for a couple of weeks will kill off this virus : not true ! It will only delay killing people but the moment we are back out on streets it will attack us again
Only people who have had it will have become resistant but those who have not are just as vulnerable as before and there will not yet be a vaccine or higher temperature to kill it and in all likelihood no cure yet to prevent sick people from dying
They call it flattening the curve to give more time but it will only give more time to have probably just as many people die
That’s the reality of this futile attempt to postpone the inevitable: don’t believe the Chinese communist party propaganda of less cases: that’s only because so many people have gone into quarantine but wait when they go back out on the streets and to work again...same thing happened with Spanish flu 100 years ago

True but the delay will ease the burden on hospital beds/respirators and other precious limited medical resources and therefore save lives. Flattening then curve then becomes the best strategy.

The more transparent Korean experience is a better example than the Chinese one. RSK tests from 10-20K people per day! USA should take up the Korean president’s invitation to hold a G20 summit on covid19 to learn from each other. An opportunity for Trump to salvage his failed leadership on this crisis.

We as a society are attempting to softly land a crashing plane. If we can keep the healthcare system from being overwhelmed. We will all be better off. We can be a 30 year old who is immune to this virus, but if there are no medical personal around to treat us after we have an accident, we will wish this country was more prepared as well as every local and state government were more prepared.

No - like flu season, the virus cannot survive "in the wild" all year round - it will move much like the flu moves globally and come back during colder months. If we limit the peak # of infections we can reduce the population of those WITH the virus during this quarantined period. Why does this matter? The problem is the virus is transmittable but not symptomatic for 12-14 days - this is a long time compared to something like the flu where you really cant transmit it until you know you have it (give or take)

This way, we dont need to test who HAS the virus because within a few weeks of self imposed quarantine everyone who has it will know they have it and will be mindful to not carelessly spread it given the opportunity we would hope. A vaccine will probably be developed up until the virus mutates to a form that allows it to stick around (like the flu does) however not every mutation is viable for the virus to persist so ideally some cases will mutate themselves out of existence while we contain and address others.

“Everyone who has it will know they have it “
EVERYONE? It can be a-symptomatic so even after it’s incubation period it will still be around and infect other people. Also it is highly unlikely everyone will/ can go in quarantine- read this forum...- so it will be spreading around for a long long time
A better approach would be to put our scarce resources in protecting the vulnerable people first: put those in quarantine can be done much faster because they are only very small portion of the total population and let the virus have its way with stronger healthy people who will get immunized quickly
Yes it will still cause some victims but everything will be over more quickly than dragging this out with so-called flat lining- a sinister term anyway

EVERYONE? It can be a-symptomatic so people may walk around with it not knowing and the incubation period is not necessarily the number of days you quote. It may well be still around and infect other people after the quarantine period. Also it is highly unlikely everyone will/ can go in quarantine- read this forum...- so it will be spreading around for a long long time

The British model may seem heartless and put sick people on the streets outside overburdened hospitals but they can still survive with minimal help
The sooner this pandemic rages itself over and out the less long term economic damage and dragged out human suffering

Obviously you can not support your comments because they are not scientifically sound. You can not cite support or prove your case or “find” the answer because it does not exist. The CDC contradicts you. You have been talking out of your ass like a guy who got an MD from Trump University. Readers on this thread have now seen you exposed for your bs.
Cholera and plague! Yes common stds rampant in the spas haha! Please! No more misinformation and myths on a public forum.
You are wrong and just dig yourself further into your embarrassing hole the more you protest.
Btw cholera is highly treatable and curable.
And Wayne, not sure what you ”liked” about his post- a veteran such as yourself should know the facts about STDs and the difference from mere opinion.
Dude, I feel sorry for your feeble mind and lack of the most simple comprehension. You may think whatever you like. I couldn’t care less what you personally think or believe in. As the old saying goes: “ It is your funeral”. Sayonara.

Gonorrhea can be spread through kissing and may be localized in the mouth and throat. There are a couple antibiotic-resistant strains of gonorrhea that have proven to be untreatable in many instances. Not usually deadly but can cause sterility and seems generally awful way to live:

Kraven clearly lacks any basic logic or an understanding of things: he liked your post while it contradicts his postulates. I suspect that he is around 20 years old. Otherwise, I fear that he might be a very special case.

Trump did not say that: he recommended to limit gatherings to no more than 10 people and to ALL Americans to stay home for 15 days due to how serious situation is. This is readily available on YouTube.

And Chuck Schumer said that Trump was xenophobic when he limited travel from China. They're all idiots who care more about their political careers than they do about you. Even while a pandemic is hitting the world, the fucking snakes are still in the background trying to pass a law to end encryption.

I’m sorry I haven’t watched News lately. It was about a week ago he said that at political rally( you can find that on YouTube also). If he made new statement about covid-19 then I’m sorry . But I really believe in what trump said week or so ago. I also strongly believe this corona virus is a big hoax just like trump said maybe not hoax by democrats. But it is a big hoax. We should all just go on with our life and not let the economy suffer.

Umm. You might want to read some news. All news sites are waiving the subscription fees, The country has basically locked down almost everything. This thing is airborne and not just by touch. Big time game changer. Doesn't mean panic, but spread the way it does is a huge difference.

For me the girls do not worry me as much as the table or bed itself. I rarely ever go face down because of multiple cases of pink eye at a spa going face down.

I am horny as hell but would rather be horny as hell in 6 months or be satisfied catch corona and keel over.

I have one of the underlying medical conditions. Cold showers and self service for me for now

Important difference between droplet and aerosol transmission. Coronavirus seems only truly “airborne” under special conditions. Good summary of the topic:

I can't take it anymore. Anyone who thinks its a hoax is a stone cold moron. In areas with lots if cases health care workers don't have enough supplies to protect themselves. There are projected shortages of ventilators. There is still a shortage of testing which would have permitted a more strategic response. If you want this to last a few months instead of a few weeks go ahead believe its a hoax. You are going to have to hope that local and state public health departments get this right. Its your only hope that this doesn't go on longer than necessary.

I wash my face and hands in the AMP's bathroom before I go home because of fear of this. Never been comfortable with that hastily-laid paper towel over the face hole. I should really start bringing my own face-towel I think, when I get back to this.

Really, folks, the hobby is not going to be safe from COVID-19 transmission until we get a vaccine for it, best case scenario is at least a year for general availability. Those of you that are married, get intimate with your wives again. Me, I bought a Fleshlight Turbo. May as well have some fun.
