Based on widespread discussions on many threads in the various Forums, it is apparent that the Moderator and creators of this website need to make immediate changes on the ability of the general public to view the content of the threads that are posted. I have chosen not to post any further comments or reviews on any provider or spa until those changes are made.

I totally agree with my fellow friends.

This site should not come up when a specific spa is searched on Google or any search engines.

Activities in addition to private details should be protected from those that don't share information and the general viewing non members. It would be better that only members can view any content.

We should all tone back the explicit detail that many include even in the private details. This kind of sharing would be better left to private messaging. If you look at the poll, the vast majority of the membership agrees with this. Specific guidelines will need to be established and then followed.

Thanks to scuba too for starting this thread.

I'm with scubatoo. No more reviews from me until Admin at a minimum implements what they said they were going to do 3 weeks ago:

https://ampreviews.net/index.php?threads/review-credit-overview.3817/#post-42651

"I’m updating the review form.

The Activities will be private, only visible to members with private details access

And

The Summary section which is publicly visible will be removed.

The Private Details section will become the “Summary/Private Details” and this will be the singular field that allows you to provide all the details you want about your experience and it will only be visible to private details members. "

I agree that these requests seem to be ignored and we "Mongers" have a vested interest in keeping this going but the owners of the site, my guess is, only care about making a few dollars from the advertisements that pop up. Thus no incentive for change. All that being said, if I put my IT hat on ( I used to be and IT database developer) I know that changes can take a ton of time due to the planning, design, testing QA etc. On average for a major interface change and change to the way data is being handled, it would take a month or two minimum. So there is a chance it is being worked on. If that is the case, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD let us at least know. I would hate to see such a helpful forum go up in flames due to the oversharing of a few dumbasses.

I've regrettably already let slip some reviews I probably would have held back until privacy changes were in place. Still have a few on the back burner because I really do not want to send any bad actors their way. I'm pretty new at this but have come to realize how important it is to, not really gatekeep, but to just keep everyone in the hobby safe.

Well this thread has been up for more than 48 hours and still no response from the powers that be. But yet when a monger supposedly gets an STD from a provider and brings it to our attention that thread gets immediate attention within hours. So what's more important saving one spa and provider or saving the whole industry???

I said similar things a few weeks ago: no more reviews from me.

I also pointed out how dangerous it is that addresses are part of the review form. Guys are posting street addresses and hotel locations for independent ladies because they don't know any better.

In case admin doesn’t make changes we feel are necessary, I reckon it’s up to members to be more discreet from this point on, myself included. I don’t have an issue responding via PM if I’m comfortable with sender, I’ve noticed a few new profiles lately. I’m very comfortable with former SH members, all others, not so comfortable.

We will soon reach 10,000 members. Thank you to everyone for participating and helping to make this an established review board in such a short amount of time.

I will continue to make advancements on the site, to make it a better resource for you.

Such fast growth causes growing pains, but rest assured we can keep up!!

Have a good day all.

oracle9 has joined AR.net and will be handling day to day moderating tasks.

I have asked him to keep the Review Queue up to date. He will also be removing incomplete reviews, misfires, and other garbage posts that make their way onto the board. This includes posts made by escorts who find their way here hoping to advertise. Sorry girls, this isn't that kind of board.

No mod or admin can comb through every forum and look at every post. With this in mind, I am asking our members to police the forums yourselves. Please report posts that you think should be sent to the trash. This will help Mr Oracle to get to them quicker.

O9 I want to thank you for stepping up to join ARnet and make it a better place. This place is magical. I'm sure you will feel it in due time.

Asking us to "police the forums yourselves" is not the kind of oversight needed. We need change now to address the ability of the general public to see all content through simple searches. I just sent a PM to both TopJimmy and Oracle9. Please do the same.

If we don’t see changes to the web crawler access issue, the nutty theory that this could be an FBI website gets less and less ridiculous and more and more plausible.

Again, I’m not a conspiracy theorist but I’m just sayin there does not seem to be an effort to change this huge problem that most of us are screaming about, including every spa owner I know. Alarmingly, all sorts of improvements to facilitate more and easier posting of information are happening quickly but the pizza shop next door can still read about everything with a simple search.

Be careful what you post. Once they are gone it will be heartbreak for us all.
