It all depends on a person's individual definition of "legit".
Some people's definition of legit is 'not known to provide HE or HE not to be expected'. Back on the old spahunters there were plenty of guys who swore they got HE at legit places all the time. Implied in those claims is all those places were Asian staffed. Based on that my assumption is an Asian massage place does HE unless proven otherwise, and even then there's probably 1 or 2 guys who have pulled it off at some point. I'm not saying every Asian place offers HE just saying all of the so called 'legit' places where guys claimed to get extras were Asian places. There are of course Asian places that do not do HE and if there are few guys who have gotten HE there, none of them are saying anything.
Other guys definition of legit is provides high quality therapeutic massage and HE never expected. Implied is those places are independents operating out of an office suite, a chiropractors office, or their homes. Those places are almost always non Asian. Those types of providers have training on the muscular system etc. It is almost unheard of for guys to get HE there. Almost. Every once in a while a guy shares a story about it and it keeps me looking for the unicorns. A therapeutic quality massage followed by HE would be
There are some providers (usually non-asian) who claim to provide therapeutic massage with HE. In my experience, those providers offer massages that are marginally better than the typical Asian R+T place. Often their massage skills are worse. With those providers, it's really about the price point. If it's a little more than a R &T place then it is a good value. But often the price points are 2X an Asian place or more. If a provider offers a good massage, reliable customer service (clean space, no flaking, no drugs) and prices around 100-160/hour they usually make a killing.
