Was heading there today but during my pre visit recon I noticed an ocean county sheriff's car parked at the closed 7-11 next door.

My Spidey senses took over so I parked nearby to observe. Def NOT running traffic and has perfect view of SW front door.

If I had to guess I would say they are counting and establishing schedule to recon for a raid/bust.

Use the big head, be warned, better safe then sorry, and happy mongering. I am heading elsewhere for now.

Time was approx 11:45am on Fri, 26 Jan.

I never noticed a closed 7-11 . Where is that ?
If you are in the Wawa lot across the street facing the strip center, there is a gas station to the left, closer to the GSP and downhill, and a closed building on the right (on the Dunkin side) slightly uphill. The closed building used to be a 7-11.

As for going, I stopped and observed briefly and then left and went to the Old Queen Spa, now Good Day, on 166 instead. Pity since I really wanted Bobo or Lucky today.

As for going tomorrow, your call. Too much of a red flag for me, but others may not care. But given the recent actions in NY in the news, the high profile/traffic of this place, and the temptation of padding a budget with "money laundering" seizures and civil asset forfeiture....................I smell a prosecutors office/vice raid coming. Not to mention the "look at these poor trafficked victims/immigrants" narrative that needs padding every now and then. Maybe they even want to embarrass the locals since it is literally right behind the PD building.........

But to be fair, I may have just been using my old situational awareness instincts. Could have just been some lazy or on break guy enjoying his coffee or donuts or lunch. Could have been watching the convenience store next to SW that I would bet is going to get busted for unlicensed THC/CBD stuff sooner or later. I've seen a few of those in the news lately too. Who knows? Are any of them worth the risk?

Me personally, I would wait a week or two and then do another recon......................if they haven't been busted/raided AND there is nothing else in sight, then it might have been just being over cautious/ paranoid.

Oh, and Jmason's observation of two unmarked's there within the last week tells me those were the detectives doing the case building and inside work (someone ask Bobo or Nana is they recently had any massage only customers that did NOT leave a typical tip), and now the OCSO car today was watching to count customers and keep tabs to time the job. Sorry if I am over reacting but this SCREAMS AMBUSH to me. Old habits die hard.

Anyone else get the sense Zippy is retired PD? Well your service is appreciated either way! BTW, why would they even need to stake the place out, they practically share a lot w South River PD. I'm amazed how many of these places are in the immediate vicinity of some police departments. Eatontown and Matawan have the setups right across the street too.

Swing and a miss...............but close, wrong color. Think green, not blue. Anyway, locals are one thing, but the Sherriff's Dept is County just like the Prosecutors Office, so if they are setting up a hit they would make the most sense to do it. Depends on what level LE is looking for the brownie points and the seizure funds. Plus if they have special task forces like trafficking involved.

It was my go to for the better part of a year. Somewhat less reviewed, off the radar, a little busy of a shopping center. But clean, hit or miss with the help sometimes, reasonable priced, quiet, but good bang for the buck. It's not Spa Wellness, no question, but for your average AMP it's better then some of the hole in the wall places................good, not great.

All that being said, I usually only saw one specific provider there and have reviewed them several times, so YMMV.

Thanks for the feedback! Just hoping I don’t need to start driving to, EB or even further.

may just be a low profile place for them to kill time. today, BT first aid was chilling in the same spot.
It's very possible, and by parking the way he was he looks like he is running radar and can claim it was "traffic" while enjoying his lunch. Who knows? But discretion is the better part of valor.

In the end time will tell. Just don't want to see any fellow mongers caught up in bullshit that could be avoided......................nor a good spot shut down.

It happens a lot. If you don't see them again, maybe he/she just pulled over there to take care of some errands.
Agree. I also had the same experience just weeks ago. There was a sheriff car just right in front of Gold spa in Passaic. So I gave up parking my car behind the property and just left. Went back days later and I couldn't see them anymore. Had a great time with a new chick. Sorry I didn't report it then.
