I used to be an 'habitue' of storefronts back in Aughts.
The draw for me was being able to drop in when the mood struck you, and the delightful randomness of the experience.
By being a gent and tipping well, you'd get assigned the hotter girls and more privileges .. it was like "leveling up" in a game.

I stopped for a variety of reasons; #1 the stores & talent dried up, #2 the value proposition went south.

The underlying probable causes have been discussed ad nauseam on these very pages.

So, what's the deal? You find UTR hidden gems ( shout out to @Rubmaster77 ) and ride that train until you hit the "bonus stage"?

I still do for: convenience and speed - in and out in less than 30, variety - go new places, opportunity to be spontaneous. No planning and scheduling required.
When I travel for work, in the evening if i don't have anything to do, I'll look for a cannabis club and massage parlor in the same area.

I still do occasionally see one AMP provider. She has a tight body that I just drool over. Zero fat, firm cute butt, MMs that are just slightly too big for her very skinny frame. Cherry on top is a beautiful face (IMHO). Her DFK with oiled up handjob/balljob/p2p while fully nude is arguably better than any K girl session. She is hard to book for a reason. Also the intangible- I Have been seeing her for years and the familiarity really feels like a girlfriend.
But in general I agree with @Sschen.

Basically convenience/lack of needing a planned time, etc. It’s becoming less frequent as I generally regret opting for the lesser experience there versus AAMP; agreed regarding value proposition.

As you mentioned, the ability to make a spontaneous visit is a big part. There are multiple AMPs within five minutes of where I live. Also, some times I'm not interested in FS and a rub and tug scratches the itch until my next AAMP appointment.

I've done storefronts a bunch, PD or other providers a bit, and I very recently started k-orgs. I've also visited countries where prostitution is legal and it's a whole different ball game. To me, the storefronts are still somewhat exciting, especially new ones. It's like not knowing what you're going to get, and when you do find a diamond in the rough, it's super exciting. I like the analogy to leveling up. With the k-orgs, even reading the reviews here is getting boring because they're mostly all the same routine. That said, I'm getting a little tired of the storefront upsell and reduced value, especially as compared to orgs.

I used to do the AAMPS in Bay Area up until 2021. Unfortunately, I'm about 3 1/2 hours from Bay Area, so I would only partake when I was in the area for a game or business. That was generally twice a year. A couple of times I did a Friday evening, then Saturday afternoon visits, but once the fees started climbing over 300 for some of the services I wanted, I realized that I can't really afford it. When it was 220 or 240 for pse, I could do it.

My budget for hobbying, strip clubs, massage is about $1,200 per year. My buddy and I hit strip clubs for a week at spring training, so the remainder of my year is limited to 2-3 $200 visits to the amps (which are closer to me), and maybe a visit or 2 to one of the strip clubs in Sac area.
I have hit the amps in Phoenix 2-3 times. The quality there is much higher and more consistently good than what I've found in No. Cal. It's a pretty serious crapshoot here.

At this point, I've changed phone numbers and it's been almost 3 years since I was vetted with an AAMP org, so I would imagine it would be tough for me to even get a foot in the door for one of the quality girls now.

In addition to the spontaneity committing a taboo in essentially a public place (in addition to the unknown behind the door) is certainly part of the thrill.

Sschen, I like your leveling up and bonus stage analogy too and like cc415, there’s this thrill that can only comes from storefronts when you find a new provider you’re kinda attracted to but draws the line at HE only. But with the right amount of grooming over multiple appointments you can get her to unlock her pussy. Sometime the grooming works and I unlock a new level each time like DFK, FIV or BJ. And sometimes it doesn’t and I’m the one getting played for more money with nothing to show for it. Orgs and PDs are like cheat codes and the thrill is in living out a fantasy from the minute you walk in.

Easier entry point. That's why I went. Plus I loved the ability to find a place where you can choose from a lineup. Have a great relationship with Luckys and mamasan always comes through for me. I've also, like another poster, had some good relationships with some of the providers. I will say, I recently made the K-Org jump, and the quality of provider and service, is amazing so far.
