minimizing risk is the reason they wear a mask if they want. The same reason why a cashier at a grocery store may wear a mask. While I agree that covid as waned, there are still people with PTSD about it that are not taking chances, especially when they are exposed to many people in public like that. I have personally not had a provider wear a mask for over two years, but it would not bother me if someone did. It's a personal choice. Plus, perhaps the provider had a medical condition, or goes home to someone that does. We don't know that and therefore should never judge.
