I have a question about the width of her face in person, whether it's wider than the in the pics, since you said she was stockier than the pics?

I have a hypothesis that a lot of photos are narrowed or heightened by maybe 15%. Evidently asian faces are more attractive if narrowed. Also, bodies look better if narrowed unless already sticks. I now think this done at lot, maybe by the photograph. You can still recognize her since the eye is used to recognizing faces at an angle like 30 degrees off center. And unless you are more attracted to narrower face in pic you may not notice.

Of course, maybe it's consumer software which women can use on pics to make themselves more beautiful like narrowing lower half of face, removing double shin, etc.
