From my observation Flushing is rapidly gentrifying.

40th Road now has 2 new bubble tea shops and an "Upscale" lounge/club.

Lots of closed Spas in the downtown area in general as well as LE signs in buildings known for "trouble" along Union.

Paperpusher says it's an election year but I think it's an overall bad trend that started couple of years back.

I'll be publishing some findings on other areas such as Elmhurst which are more under the radar and have increasingly Chinese population outside of Flushing.

I have yet to find a really good place in Elmhurst. There are a couple of HE places but nothing that gives consistent service. In addition, most of the places where this occurred have closed down. So, if you have something good in Elmhurst I would be glad to take one for the team report.

I agree Flushing is changing but pay to play is so ingrained in both Korean and Chinese culture that there are going to be lots of spots there. It is frustrating that quality is not very consistent.

Nancy's place in Elmhurst is solid. It's gonna cost more than it does in 40 rd but the girls are younger and get more into it for the most part.

There's a place reviewed here know as the candy shop. Lucky, and Sophie spa in Elmhurst are top notch too. All on the same corner of Whitney and broadway. Cheaper and better girls IMO.

If by Sophie Spa you mean "Sophia Spa" then yes I also vouch for it. But there's only 1 girl there to my knowledge and she may be a bit thick for the average monger's taste lol. I heard Lucky is mostly legit.
