The guy looking at the big payout is the one of mistaken identity. They ID'd his Porsche as being at the AMP and then fucked up because they had no evidence he was at the AMP. He was NOT at the AMP and the car in question was not his Porsche!

And the fucking cops went to his house and arrested him in front of his wife. He had no idea what was going on and had no association whatsoever with the AMP.

He is suing and I hope he gets millions out of the fuckers. Put the cops, judges, and politicos there in jail on half rations, too.
Unfortunately the only people who truly would be paying for that would be the tax payers in whatever town deputy fife and his ilk are from.

Best thing to happen would be the top cops get fired and their pension gets reduced.

County Sheriffs and County Attorneys are elected in Florida.

Costly lesson for the old farts in Florida, but they elected them.

It's shitty up here too, maybe at a lighter level. Cops and DAs love this sex trafficking story, it has news sizzle. Forget that it just isn't true in spas. But spas are easier targets for this big bust than a call girl service is.

I have too much history with Florida "Legal system". Too many sheriffs are not really qualified to be such. Some run on a strictly bible thumping platform and hardly disguise that they can't differentiate between "crime" and "sin". I have heard some of them actually tell civic groups that they think girls in strip clubs are a menace to society right up there with bank robbers and rapists. Pretty close to a quote.

This is a disorderly conduct misdemeanor on the same level of getting into drunk in public and making a fool of yourself or getting swept up in a political protest.
The amount of money spent by the Prosecution in processing this minor offense would put a lot of companies out of business. Too bad they don't understand the value of cutting your losses and calling it a day.

They don't stand a chance at even negotiating a plea bargain. They've made themselves a national embarrassment trying to shame a widower.

This is a Chihuahua vs a Pitbull and the whole DAs office of that county will be gone by the end of next year.

Sayonara!!!!

The saddest part of this is Palm Beach County is one of the most crime-ridden counties in the country. People think Palm Beach. Well, Palm Beach is one small speck in a large and dangerous county.

For example, in 2018 in Lake Worth -- just one town in that county -- there were 10 murders, 36 rapes, 185 robberies and 279 assaults with a population of just 37,000.

You can't get through to these knuckleheads that busting 200 men for handies at a spa does not make the county safer.

They SHOULD be gone NOW.

But you drastically underestimate the rabid political and moral stupidity of many people. The local press is making this out to be the Christian Moral Good Guy Little Family Peope against the Hethan Communist Billionaire Northern Scum. They know they will likely lose, but they also know they are right. It is only the Liberal Big Money Satinist Deep State Evil Doeres who are thwarting them.

Many know they will lose, but support the attack on the evil Chinese plot to ruin America. Their preacher and the 135 y/o spinster down the street have told them what's really going on, and that's all they need to know! Quit confusing things by pointing to facts! These women COOK at these AMPs!!!! What more proof do you need that they are trafficked? COOKING by god!!!!

I don't have an issue with local citizens determining what the priorities are in terms of law enforcement, but they should do things by the books, or at least make sure their police force is properly trained. This whole thing is due to Kraft's lawyers fine combing through the evidence and pointing out what they did was illegal. If the operation was conducted properly, Kraft's lawyers would have a difficult time dismissing the charges.

This case was doomed without Kraft's involvement.

The reason the surveillance warrant was approved was based on the police indicating that the women at the spa were trafficked. Trafficked women can be in imminent peril and must be rescued IMMEDIATELY if the police have knowledge of it.

To use what the police said were trafficked women in order to arrest men on prostitution charges is a failure on many fronts and to common decency.

Why should we be surprised though? Florida authorities were willing to NOT prosecute Epstein for trafficking underaged women.

Without Kraft's involvement, they would have been able to convict the majority of rest of the arrested mongers. It was Kraft's involvement that allowed those who hadn't pleaded guilty a chance in court.

You and I seriously disagree. I am NOT in favor of stupid locals setting LE priorities when it gets to extremes.

To spend this amount on NON-TRAFFICKED AMPs, at the expense of drug dealers, murderers, rapists, etc. Is WRONG and STUPID.

When the local LE there equates stripper to rapists ("those livacious girls are to blame when good boys get carried away") and the pig of a police chief in Orlando publicly tells groups he sees his job as enforcing CHRISTIAN MORALS (not laws) in the area--HIS interpretation of christianity of course--then no, local dictates to LE on where to prioritize their resources is wrong.

That part we don't disagree. But unless you live there, you and I don't have a say. That's what I meant. It doesn't mean I agree with HOW they run their County. Their vote, their choice.

As I've mentioned many many times, some area places a higher priority on Morale Turpitude, under the mistaken belief that it will lead to reduced violent crimes. For us to force our values on them is just as egregious.

State prosecutors want an appeals court to allow them to use video evidence of New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft receiving sexual favors at a Jupiter massage parlor earlier this year to convict him of soliciting prostitution.

Kraft, 78, won a major court victory in May when Palm Beach County Judge Leonard Hanser ruled prosecutors were forbidden from using secretly recorded videos because the warrants used to plant the cameras were legally insufficient.

The problem was the video, which was recorded by cameras police secretly installed while investigating sexually related human trafficking allegations at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa.

Kraft was one of two dozen men nabbed as part of the investigation. Hanser ruled the police improperly obtained the warrants that allowed them to install the cameras that captured the incriminating videos.

But prosecutors fought back in an appeal filed late Tuesday, defending the legality of the warrant and saying police acted in good faith gathering the evidence.

“Over a 5-day span during which police recorded activity in a massage business suspected of operating as a brothel, police observed overwhelming evidence of felony and misdemeanor prostitution offenses, with 90% of recorded video reflecting criminal misconduct,” prosecutors wrote in a brief filed with the Fourth District Court of Appeal.

The only people whose privacy rights were violated by the warrant, according to the brief, were people who were not charged with a crime. Out of 39 videos recorded, four captured legally permissible massages, according to the brief.

Kraft’s “claim of a Fourth Amendment violation was predicated on alleged harms to the privacy of other persons who have not been charged with any crime and whose rights are not at issue in this case,” the prosecutors wrote. The video should still be admitted to establish crimes were committed by Kraft, they argued.

The brief was filed by the Florida Attorney General’s Office.

Excellent. That's 4 Civil suits they just surrendered on a gamble to go after a simple Misdemeanor. That's even if the appeal gets rejected. Good thing the DA can also be voted out like the Sheriff.

I was thinking the same thing. Plus the guy who got arrested in a case of mistaken identity. Cops went to his house and arrested him on prostitution charges in front of his wife. They had the wrong car. He was never at Orchid Spa.

Add those civil suit payouts to the time and expenses already incurred, and this has to be one of the most expensive recent Misdemeanor cases I've seen. Like someone said before, it's just Monopoly money to them.
