It's a luxury product/service.

I fly coach class. I could spend another $10,000 for a first class experience but I won't arrive to my destination a minute earlier.

I'd love to have it a few hours a day a few days a week, but I can't. So I enjoy and look forward to when I can afford an hour here or there. I'm careful about who I meet, and give her a first class treatment when we meet. Like seeing her is the best decision I've ever made. And she usually does her best to give me a first class treatment.

I don't go on Greyhound.

Lots of guys here and other sites with plenty of resources, do frequent reviews and posts. Their rants prove that they're just as unhappy as the guys at the other end of the spectrum, the incels.

I laugh at this quote. Most of the guys on here have disposable income. Unless you are in a ditch with a pick and shovel on. 90° day with 75 % humidity you don't work too damn hard for your money.
Agreed.
There are days when I get extremely annoyed. Especially with underlings who do not take initiative.
But compared to some lawnmower guy working outside in 95 degree heat?
My IT Consulting job...where I have been working from home since April 2020...ain't so bad...

Agreed.
I have worked some long hours, 80 to 100 a week for a while. I once collapsed and spent two weeks on my back because of it. I still have to believe that was because I was working stupid and not hard. When I think hard, I think about a guy in a coal mine or a foundry especially a hundred years ago or more without the modern equipment.

Interesting insight. Why do you think that is? The unhappiness ?

There are different types of hard work - body and mind. Wear and tear on the body and wear and tear on the psyche due to stress.

I’ll share comments from a few providers re their view of work.

#1. She really empathized with those that work outdoors. She said she could feel the jealousy of those that work outdoors. Her comment was they and me both use our bodies to make money but I get to work indoors.

#2. When she came to the states she realized she needed more hands than just her 2 to make decent money. So labored in clothing sweat shops for a few years then got into the AMP business. She made quite a bit being a MMS. But, she worked very hard. Long days, endless worry about a multitude of issues.

#3. She often lamented the fact that she was a sex worker. She claimed she was smart, and she was from what I could tell, and felt she never had the opportunity to use her brain to make money. She started on this path when she was very young. She was envious of all those who had office jobs.

We all work hard. Maybe not physically but stress wise which also takes a toll.

When visiting an AMP, or anywhere else for that matter, I want value for the $ spent. I don’t care how much they make, but I do care about the quality of service.

If I get interrupted and shorted on time and have to put up with an attitude then yes, I work too hard for money to waste it on an unrewarding unfulfilling experience. If I have a great time, I don’t even think about how much I spent.

The lack of balance in one's life. Putting one's whole essence in finding the Ultimate Asian Prostitute doesn't look like a lot of fun. It's not a competitive sport.
I would tell a younger guy to try to have fun and relax. Not to take it too seriously and have a sense of humor.

The lack of balance in one's life. Can never know what someones balance in life is. Most would think I live an die in AMPS and yet I only go once a week for typically a one hour session. Going on this site and writing and reading reviews is 15 to 30 minutes while having a drink.
Putting one's whole essence in finding the Ultimate Asian Prostitute doesn't look like a lot of fun. Would have no problem doing this over worshipping golf, baseball, soccer, basketball or football.
It's not a competitive sport. how can such a discrete hobby be competitive?
I would tell a younger guy to try to have fun and relax. Not to take it too seriously and have a sense of humor. I would tell them to work on civies as much as humanly possible and find a horny young woman you can enjoy for the next twenty to thirty years.

Interesting topic. In a career spanning 30 years and 4 world class companies, I've seen people work HARD. I've also seen people make their bosses look good, and still get shafted in the end. Ultimately, I've learned to work for ME. Sometimes that means working hard, other times it means working smart, and sometimes it means telling others to go fcuk themselves. No more mortgage, retirement looms, and the truly global mongering phase will soon begin! I think I chose the right boss to work for...ME!

I have gotten to know a few mongers in this hobby, and many more providers. It does not puzzle me at all why we do this. It totally blows my mind that some of these women do this. They work hard, they are smart, they have families, and they look out for each other. Obviously, it's the money. But you could not pay me any amount to touch some of the guys I've seen walking in and out of these places. I'd rather work in a coal mine, or on a garbage truck.

There are vast amounts of cash to be made in this line of work. But if anyone in that room is working hard, it is the provider!

I don't disagree but plenty of guys in this hobby are also NOT repulsive. Yea there certainly are "ugly" guys just like there are less attractive providers but I think to assume providers have to take care of 10 Jabba the Hutts in a row is likely not reflective of the reality. I have seen lots of guys going in and out of various sessions over the years. TBH most guys I saw were average or even a little above. I think to make $5 a minute to be with an average respectful guy is a pretty awesome way to make a living compared to some of the shit jobs and abusive companies I've worked for in my life.

If I had T&A I might actually have been a provider, LMAO

If you were a Woman your perspective would be vastly different. Very few pros are sex robots. Most that are extremely into it have vices that help them achieve that level. Or they may burn out. The ones who arent like that can do it for less of a time before they burn out and or become jaded. The best ones i would think have a balance. Take off for some time and come back etc.

I try not to count pros pockets. Cause they earn what they earn. Just some pros are too much for me 1) cause i don't think they are attractive enough to be worth their rate.
2.) Are too old to ask for that rate.
3.) Are too expensive for me
A good amount of times it's 1 or 2.

How hard you work is a factor. However we are all giving time we do not get back to work . I'm not pissing that time ao easily away. Unless i'm making $500 in less than an hour. Ima always be mindful of not overpaying and if so not by much.

While I never said "repulsive", sometimes the way mongers look physically is not their most repulsive attribute. Even so, many of the guys in this and other forums go on and on about their standards for good looking providers, when many are "average or even little above". Your words, not mine. As a self-identified average guy, it would be impossible for me to service 10 average women a day (maybe in college, with a few beers, and viagra pills). All I'm saying is that regardless of the mongers' looks, sex work is SEX WORK. And it can be very, very hard. Pun intended.

Well you did refer to an assessment formed by just seeing them walk in and out. So that assessment can only be formed based on what they look like in that split second. I do think guys have a right to have higher standards because they are paying, the woman are not. As I said I DON'T disagree with you. I know this is not an easy job. But they make an awful lot to compensate them for that.

Maybe, but I've had many jobs in my life that I am pretty sure are way worse than what these women do. Perhaps they have a bad customer here and there, I've had jobs where it was 12 hours of shit 5 days a week and almost never a good day. The comp affects it too. If I was getting $300 an hour I could put up with a lot worse crap than when I was making $20 an hour. I'm fine with what these women earn FWIW. But at the same time the customer must be happy right? I've had inexpensive sessions that were amazing and expensive ones that were not. Agree that many think they are worth more in this market than they are. Hence one of the reasons (plus inflation) why the prices are creeping so much.

Very few of us have infinite resources for this hobby. Those who do, consider yourself lucky. The rest of us we will keep trying to have the most fun we can at the most reasonable cost.

Good advice CB but not always that easy. I'm still working on it at my age. To me it's a mental exercise. Train yourself to leave the SO, job, family, etc worries at the door when you walk into a spa. Then it can become you and the provider. A good provider can help a lot which is why I am drawn to the ones with good personalities.

In my mind I am that self identified average guy but when I look in a mirror this old guy is staring back at me. I still try to keep myself as neat and clean as possible and be respectful of the providers limits. I played the age guessing game recently and she put me at 60 (I'm 75) so I must be doing something right. Maybe I can get a few more years out of this hobby.
As far as servicing 10 women a day, I think it's impossible for any guy. It's a lot harder to maintain an erection then lube a kitty. I could do erotic massage all day even if it meant figuratively holding my nose for some of them. Unattractive women have needs too.

Sounds like the title of a mini series, reality TV show, or a docudrama.

That was @Don Hollinger advice. I was just commenting on his post.
My advice is "I would tell them to work on civies as much as humanly possible and find a horny young woman you can enjoy for the next twenty to thirty years."
