Appropriate Etiquette Opinion, Please

I posted this Thread asking for your opinions. I am aware that our opinions are not right or wrong. I will withhold the name of the amp, the amp location, the amp hours, the date of visits, and the provider’s names. Is it an appropriate etiquette for customers (mongers) to show up at an AMP about 15-20 minutes before closing and make the providers work after closing time regardless of 30-minute or 60-minute massages?

Before you provide your opinion on this thread or via private message, I would like to share the history on the last two massage appointments. I am usually flexible with appointment time slot as long as I secure a specific provider from a specific amp.

My first appointment was for one hour from 10 am to 11 am. She massaged me to sleep while I was laying on my stomach. She woke me up at 10:45 am telling me I have 15 minutes left and asked me what I wanted to do. I told her to continue the massage and asked for additional 30 minutes. We agreed. At 11 am, her customer showed up for his 11 am appointment. She admitted she forgot about the appointment. I told her I will stop at 11 am and let her take care of the next customer. But, she said she will tell the next customer to either wait 30 minutes or come back. At the end of our massage at 11:30 am, I paid the usual house fee and additional tip on top of my usual tip. To be fair with her for giving me additional 30 minutes, I told her at the exit that she can bump me on our next appointment if it happens on our appointment.

I made another appointment (2nd) with the same provider for ninety minutes with a different time slot because of her prior appointments. We agreed from the x time to 15 minutes before closing. Exactly 10 minutes before the end of our massage appointment, two customers showed up wanting massages. One provider was available while other providers were busy with their customers. My provider asked me to leave right now so she can serve another customer. I asked her how she could massage another customer 20 minutes before closing if they are asking for either 30-minutes or 60-minutes massage. She did not answer my question. I decided to hush and oblige because I gave her my word that she could bump me out to be fair. I paid the hf and usual tip even though I was shorted on time because I do not want to see Karma.

But, the issue was that two customers showed up 20 minutes before closing and wanted massage during and after closing hours. My opinion on this case is that the customers who showed up 15-20 minutes before closing asking for 30-minute or 60-minute massage has no regard and respect for the providers where they had to hush and massage them after hours. Your opinions? Sorry this is a long thread and at least you know the full story.

Hey dude, this is a no right answer issue. This is a short version, maybe another comment later.

Sometimes a spa's posted closing time means the last appointment, none any later. Then they finish the appointment. Other spas do mean that all appointments are over by the specified closing time.

I know for the city places with late closing times the second is true. The earlier closing times in the burbs may just mean they lock the door at 10 pm, turn off the open sign, and finish up their last appointment.

Maybe ask your provider what their policy is. Obviously she was willing to work after the closing time or she could have declined service do to the time.

I do agree coming in at the last minute before closing is a little presumptuous. And yes for the most part we should all be respectful of their time, they do work long days.

Wayne1250, thanks for the response. I agree no right answer issue because I said no opinion is right or wrong. I will ask the provider next time I see her about the parlor's policies. My guess would be to maintain or improve customer equity which most businesses do where I understand how businesses treasure customer equity. It is just that, again in my opinion, I think it is disrespectful for the customers to show up at last minute before closing and make them work after hours regardless of how many customers she served that day during the business hours.

Your provider sounds like she is very customer oriented. This is good for her business. She accomodated your extended stay, I am sure she made it up to the customer she held off for you, and she took care of late customer. She sounds like a keeper.

I have a recent story that relates and have not told yet.

I was having a session with a provider I had seen for many weeks. We had finished round one but there was still 15 minutes to my appointment. The next customer came early and apparently said he was in a little rush because he had to make it to the airport by a certain time

She came in very apologetic and told me the issue. Rather than give me the boot she said please make yourself comfortable I want to see you longer. She put a blanket on me and said she would be back. I nearly fell asleep and in abut 40 minutes she came back in, and cuddled up next to me, gave me a little more massage and we had lunch together. The bonus was I got an extra hour to spend with her.

The point is some girls know how to roll with the punches, accomodate all her customers, and make everyone happy.

If you show up just before closing and they agree to massage you beyond their usual closing time, a little extra in your tip for shorting them some sleep time is a nice gesture.

Some places do not give the ladies an option to say no. And in those cases the ladies should be rewarded.

My opinion, if you ask for time that keeps the masseuse beyond their posted closing by more than a few minutes, let's say 30 minutes, the house fee should be higher and the incremental amount should be given to the masseuse. Working OT requires OT pay. Just seems fair.

It may depend on if the girls had a busy day or not. If they are hurting for cash they may take you in. But in my opinion if you come in a half hour before closing you get 45 minutes to and hour at her discretion. 15 minutes before turned away or half hour massage that's it. Got to remember most of these women work 13 to 14 hour shifts. They also have to clean up themselves and the spa after work. That doesn't leave much time to call loved ones back home.
I think some guys do it on purpose. For whatever reason I am not sure.

Be polite, call and ask before showing up is a good idea. Also, Late Friday night is really difficult for them because they had one busy day and usually have another busy day ahead of them. Late saturday night or sunday night is much more acceptable for them.

If I am pushing the limit on the closing for whatever reason, and I am accepted into the spa, I give as much effort as possible to make the decision to take me a good one.

I had a mama who took me in and took my house. When the woman walked in, I knew immediately that this session was not going to go well.
I told her to lay down on the table and I proceeded to give her a medium massage and within 30 minutes, she was in a deep sleep. I walked out and hoped she enjoyed the rest she received. Every time I see this provider now, the treatment is amazing no matter what the time.

Glad I asked because the last three responses gave me broader idea depending on situations. However, I agree with Ellocohombre that whoever show up at the last minute did it on purpose for whatever reasons. I also agree with Koujiao and hope that the mongers who showed up late paid more than enough for the providers. Charliebrown made a good suggestion as well. Appreciate different perspectives

In some of the shops I go to, the ladies all travel together at closing, to flushing or to a rental house. So what they’ll do at closing relates to how busy they are. If everyone else is busy and extending past closing time, no problem, you’re just 15 minutes later than everyone else. But if it’s empty, no way are they gonna let you get 90 minutes when you show up 15 before closing. They have a tough life and all need to be back early. Be polite, and realize that there is no set rule, this isn’t a corporate entity. They can close early if you want. They may not give you same answer next week.

But I’ve also come in right at closing, and offered to get 4hand in appreciation that they are staying late for me. I’ve had 6hand finishes, cause the girls are bored, know me, and know I’ll give them some tips. And gotten some awesome experiences once the door is locked and the lights are off......
