I don't recall learning anything with regard to COBOL. But I remember a class, I think, in PASCAL. Maybe BASIC.

We were working off an old DEC mainframe in anyone remembers DEC.

I used VAX-11 780 (DEC mini computer) in college.
They had just gotten rid of the DEC PDP-11 the year before I started.

Could have sworn the PDP-11 was Data General, but it's so many moons ago, maybe it was DEC.

Spent a lot of nights punching cards for the University’s PDP-11. Did it for COBOL, FORTRAN and LISP. Last time I touched COBOL was for Y2K.

Had to take Comp Sci classes for my Robotics portion of my Mech Eng degree.

Been there, done that and still doing it as a nice rate.

That said, not going to Trenton to 'donate' my services. Has the governor volunteered any of his salary to pay for this? Didnt see that any of the reports.

And on top of that it probably isnt even an issue with the COBOL code rather related system.

That said, apparently these systems are supported by contractors who arent given access to work remote since they are not employees and not considered life sustaining employees by the government so cant go into the office.

If we wanted you to shut up you would have been suspended. There is now a thread devoted strictly to politics. Feel free to say whatever there or start your own political topic specific to what you want to express. Opinions are always welcome from everywhere. Everyone sees things differently thru their own experiences. We are just tired of the same damn circle of Topic starts, People contribute, someone triggers someone elses political sensitivity, debate ensues, someone brings original topic back, someone says something funny, HOT ASIAN PICTURES, Someone finds a political opinion on page 3 that triggers them, Debate ensues, HOT ASIAN PICTURES, etc. The Hot Asian pictures are usually great though. And the funny stuff.

I dont know how to talk about this virus, the economy, "blood on the streets" without discussing government response and plans. You certainly cant get anywhere near healthcare right now, as I've been drawn in and not see huge deficiencies in the government response that in the short term are killing Americans (and not just feeble seniors, a 28 year old girl died here a couple days ago) , and in the long term will affect the economy for years.

Thats not even politics to me. Its an unresponsive government that isnt doing the fundamental first thing a government exists to do, protect their citizens.

Maybe its too serious a topic for this website though. I cant be funny about this stuff, sorry. But dont worry, I wont post on this anymore.

That's a decent enough reason, I suppose.
I started in college because females have never shown so much as a milligram of interest/attraction towards me.
So for me was not a matter of time or convenience, but necessity.
I guess it's not so bad in the long run. I still bang hot young girls, with no threat of some middle aged bag destroying my life with divorce and alimony.
And I have never been a "child oriented" person.
Yeah, not so bad.
