Yeah its from 95, there are more studies that are more modern that prove this theory of the listerine even more so now, they knew it back then though too, the reason its effective has to do with the alcohol in listerine and nothing else really.

But - and it’s a sincere and not rhetorical question-why isn’t it marketed as an antiviral? As a herpes preventative medication?

Wasn't trying to be mean so i apologize if it seemed harsh, as far as why they don't market it as such, im not sure honestly, i dont think its purpose is being anti-viral i think its just a side benefit because of the alcoholic contents in listerine. It was basically an accidental benefit.
