The other day I went to see one of my favorite girls at AS and as I approached the building I realized I had lost my iPhone. I had just been to a bar and figured I left it there but the waiter and the table I sat next to hadn't seen it. I must of dropped it walking to the AS spot. At first I panicked but regained my composure since I knew the address and the apt etc since Ive been there a lot. I arrived to see Marin 10 mim late for our 90 min session but she made the time up.
When I got home I pulled up some YouTube vids on what to do to find a lost phone. I learned how to go to iCloud and find where it is. Amazingly to pinpointed it a block from AS. It was late and I thought it be a lost cause to go back so I figured I go in the morning. So I get up early and watch another vid and learned there is a lost phone function where you can write a message and if anyone finds the phone they'd see the message. So I wrote " please call 917-xxx which is my wife's number. Somehow our phones are connected by an old family plan. Anyway some homeless guy called my wife and said he was going through a garbage can and found it. Amazing lucky I know .. I coordinated with the guy and got my phone and gave him $100 even though he never asked for a reward.
During this whole process I had to share with the wife this new stuff I learned about how you can pinpoint exactly where a phone is at any given time ..
And more than once she made the remark " I'll bet that last night you at one of those disgusting places you go to" Where were you ?
So here's my dilemma and question. She can track my whereabouts I think now that she knows this stuff that we both were clueless about. One of my best excuses is that I'm going to the Yankee game. Now she'll see Im not in the Bronx. And if Im at a hotel with a SB she'll see Im at the Holiday Inn etc..
I know there are lots of phone and GPS tech experts who will read this. Please tell me what to do on the phone or computer so I can't be tracked.
Keep in mind we are somehow connected in the APPLE ecosystem which I honestly dont understand.
