Without getting too mushy, thanks to Wayne for starting this thread. May I digress and reflect on the picture he posted.
Charlie Brown….what a cool dude…but he is seen by many (including my wife) as being bullied, but I never saw him that way. And he didn’t either. Nor did I see any of the Charles Schulz characters by what they appeared to be on the surface. And don’t get too analytical about me, but PigPen seemed like a kindred soulmate. Maybe my playground was different from others.
We as a group are in each our own character, and we are much more when we share our differences and focus on our similarities. When we share what benefits one over debating our differences to the point of toxic divisiveness. I suspect all of you have seen and felt both sides of this coin - many thanks to all of us who have decided to focus on our common ground.
And…..Thank you Wayne for being an obvious Charlie Brown fan. That is so cool.
