Better, get an app like text free in you smart phone. You get a number for free and can text as much as you want. You can also call free (60 mins limit).
I used to foolishly use my personal cell phone and also received the threatening text. Now I use this app with an untraceable number.
The fun thing is, I still receive the threatening text but on my fake number. I play along with the scammers and have some fun anonymously.
