Oh how the amp landscape has changed round this neck of the woods, while there are a few young, hot lovelies available, most shops are quite lackluster and staffed by old ladies.

Fair points. I can sit here and tell you how it’ll all be good until I’m blue in the face but it won’t mean much until you see the positive changes take into effect as the days go by. I can live with that because I’m very confident that the site will continue to grow and flourish, especially now that a major problem has been identified, dealt with, and continued restoration of all the damage.

Rampage wasn’t the only mod in place the last few years…there were a few of us, including myself. But the way we generally operated was that we all had our own methods, styles, and way of doing things. We also tended to operate by unofficial shifts…not something that was formal but became to be based on our schedules around our personal lives. Let us be clear…all the mods here are strictly volunteers…we do not get paid by anyone, we do not have any benefits, we are all hobbyists ourselves, and had the privilege and honor of being asked to serve…with the only reward being that we were doing our part to help the site and see our community grow.

And as strictly volunteers, we all have real, day jobs, families, other obligations in the real world. We log on when we can spare time…no one is logged onto the site 24/7. We do our thing on here, then we attend to our real life affairs, and log back in when we can.

I explain this to you because it’s relevant…the vast majority of our time was spent manually reading and approving (or rejecting) the hundreds of reviews that come in daily. Dealing with all the reports that your fellow members flag as inappropriate. Getting rid of and clearing the thousands of spam bot attacks that happened on a near weekly basis. Responding to member PMs, and general moderating of discussions. Etc., etc.

What we DIDN’T do, was monitor our fellow mods actions…which in hindsight, we should have. Yes, of course I’ve seen him ban members (personally, I felt it was more than actually necessary), but speaking strictly for myself, I had no idea the extent of the banning and deletion of reviews and posts. I was astounded myself when we started to really dig into it.

I can’t tell you not to be bitter…I’m sure lots of guys were disrespected, ridiculed, insulted in ways a human being should not be, among other things. I can only offer that things will be vastly different now and in the future, and hope that you maintain your membership (not just you but ALL of our members), and actively contribute reviews and intel…I’m positive all members will gain much more than that in return. You will all be treated with respect and dignity and like grown ass men, and we hope to put the past behind us and push forward.

If you have any other thoughts or wish to continue the conversation offline, feel free to send me a PM anytime. And that invitation is open to all members…that’s one the major reasons that I, along with Jimmy and the other mods, are here for. Good evening.
HHnyc77, Well said !!! You, TopJimmy and the other mods didn't make any excuses. You guys got together, rolled up your sleeves, got your cleaning materials and shovels and just dug in and began the process to make things right again and to do this as VOLUNTEERS NOT BEING PAID speak more to the character of the moderator group. THANK YOU for all that you have done and continue to do to keep this site FIRST CLASS !!!

Top Jimmy....

I am sorry for beating a dead horse here but the people you are reinstating seem to be being reactivated because they have guys vouching for them or they have " AMP buddies"..
How many members were banned by Rampage? ... is that a question anyone would answer? I posted 3 reviews and received a total of about 2 weeks worth of site access. Almost all of the guys on that list had the same happen. And as only moderator and not a developer, how did he have access to the actual network to go ahead and block not only a user but also their IP address? I could see a guy having access to ban someone being vicious to someone else or inviting trouble to this site, but how could he have access to that end of it and nobody knew? I have read the response that hhnyc provided me the link to, and it was fairly self explanatory. I have some hesitation about posting another review here and would like to see how the rest of the forum members act and what they post. Do they continue to post full detail reviews of places or are they too concerned by the sudden change in their good fortune. I would love to have my privileges back and it was my last post/ review that got me permanently banned from my Second attempt to participate. I'm sure u can find that review. I also think that every member that has been reinstated should be given access back for 90 days if they had ever posted a review. Guys are told that to really be part of the community u need to post a review. That posting got many banned for months / years. Now guys say just post another review again to be part of the "club" .. that shouldn't be necessary.

Again as I've said before in messages.. not my site. It's your stadium. Your bat.your ball. I just think that there are great ways to show people that they will not continue to have that ban still impact their enjoyment of this site.. Having our temporary access back would be one of them. Once expired we should all be comfortable enough to post new reviews and if not we w all fade away..

Thanks in advance

The way I understand it is that very very few members will see any repercussions from posted a detailed review. Just use your common sense, there are a few things you might want to leave out just like you did before. Top Jimmy has set the new tone for the site and it seems all the mods are in full agreement which is why things have been moving forward; reinstatement of banned members, new review sections and many of rAMPage's made up rules deleted. I applaud how fast these changes have occurred.

I've replied to you twice with as much detail as possible...what is your exact ask? Free access for 90 days for anyone who was previously banned? Unless @topjimmy says otherwise, that's not going to happen. You want to know how many people were banned? No idea...but it was many. Hundreds, if not into thousands, as a rough guess. But what does that actually matter? Like we've said repeatedly, we're mainly interested in moving forward. If your membership here is contingent on what other members do, be my guest. If you want to be a lurker, that's fine. If you want to be here and actively contribute and receive intel, that's more than welcomed too. If you are truly sorry for beating a dead horse like you stated, then stop beating it.

The changes that have taken place, including a previous mod that is no longer here, along with members being reinstated after being unfairly banned has happened and will continue to happen. All other mechanisms of how the site operates, including writing reviews to earn private details access, that access being 45 days per approved review, etc. will stay the same. Barebones review that does not provide much intel will not be approved.

Unless I missed it, of all the posts that you've made under your new handle, you have yet to mention what your previous handle was, and haven't asked for it to be reinstated. Why is that? Let us know what it is, and we'll see what we can work out.
