@West 23rd totally agree. Ever met Infamous Candy? Strong Massage and she used to get UTR girls all the time. I used to visit both lily and Candy around 2012/13, I was very close with Candy and she came here to get out of the abusive husband with her kid. I think she got her GC - managed to send her kids to college, suddenly retired but financially burned out. It's the same story over and over.
No, never had the pleasure of seeing Candy. But certainly so many of these gals have life stories, background situations and goals that are all over the map. I certainly recommend for any hobbyist who enjoys the AMP experience, "Happy Endings?" a 2009 documentary by Tara Hurley. I wasn't too fond of the production style and I did not learn much that I didn't already know, but I wish it were around when I first started hobbying years back.

West 23rd, I'm sorry to hear about your friend. :(
Thanks dude. She was truly a gem of a woman in every way actually. She went by the name Yoko Suzuki. She did pro-am porn too. You should be able to find some of her clips on the usual websites. Wednesday will make it 5 years since her body was discovered. A real shame and loss.

It's like one who works at fish market for a while will not notify the fishy smell no more. After being in it for a while, this job has became just normal for them. They are in their own world. Will a thief ever wonder why he steal?

I agree. It's none of our business and I usually don't inquire about personal things unless the gal in question volunteers "her story." I first got into the hobby in the late 80's while in college; took an extended leave of absence for grad school, marriage, kids, etc. After my divorce I resumed and got to know a number of these gals personally. One gal in particular who became a very close friend until her suicide in 2014 told me a lot about herself and various gals in the biz whom she meet. In virtually all cases, it always initially comes down to a need for a lot of money to pay off snakeheads, G-card hubbies, etc. The "life" often leads to a lot of gambling, substance abuse issues and/or shopping addictions among these gals, they just stay in it until they burn out, find a guy to support them or get too old. Some are able to exit with some degree of grace and independence by saving their money and starting a successful or at least sustaining legit business. Some get out and start businesses that fail and then get back in. The money is "easy" in the sense that a busy gal, even with C-town "discount," can gross $300+ a day, cash. It's hard to imagine Lily or any similarly situated gal making the same $ doing anything else. But for most, the job is a grind physically and emotionally.

My friend who committed suicide was probably the best person "built" for the job, meaning that she truly loved having sex with different men whom she found attractive but she found 80% of her clientele to be at best, boring lovers, and often disgusting ("too old," "too ugly," "stinky feet"). My friend managed to be a successful indie and saved quite a lot of money and was able to buy several rental properties. She avoided the usual pitfalls of drinking, drugs, gambling, etc. However, she was very likely bi-polar and her untreated depression got the best of her.
She must be a Korean, not Chinese.

What?!?! I had no idea that she committed suicide. She was thick and busty and offered awesome service. Quiet but very sweet. How did you find out? Was it in the news?

I also knew someone with the same fate, happily married, nice kid, depression, refused medical help, ended herself. I wonder if their past has anything to do with it. Sad.
My friend definitely had unresolved issues from her early teen years relating to not fitting in with Japan's very homogenous society. It was super sad and unnecessary.

I knew her very, very well. If you saw any of her movies, you likely saw my member. I was her business partner in her film career and her best friend. Her body was found in her home on May 1, 2014 . The medical examiner estimated that she was dead for about 48 hours. I coordinated her funeral which was sparsely attended. She was one of the sweetest women (in or out of this biz) I ever knew. If you want, PM me and I'll give you further details.

I'm surprised there hasn't been a discussion regarding my point about the video camera(s)....
Video cameras are as common as a massage tables in a parlor for security reason. If you are able to look at the video camera monitor, you can easily see more than 10 separate screens. As long as you don't see one inside your room, who cares.

Exactly.
You saw the video of the guy in Queens who raped one of the girls? Not in the room. But I do wonder how long they keep the video for.

I knew the owner of an HJ place called Purple Gardens (2007-2008) on West 40th Street. The place got raided and the owner asked me to retrieve the video for her case. It was a crazy video capture system (user manual was only in Korean) but I was able to retrieve the AVI files and stitch them together and give it to her lawyer. It was one of those systems that would erase older footage as the hard drive would reach a certain limit. Seemed to cover about 2 months before it started the erasure if I recall. Of course, hard drives were smaller and more expensive back then.

None of the footage included anything in the rooms. They wouldn't want to do that because it would constitute 100% evidence for the prosecution if retrieved by LE.
