Most times these girls are supposed to get the money up front for a first time visit with a customer.
Too many guys will fuck and flee without paying the girl so usually they ask for money up front.

I really appreciate touches like that also.
I think it speaks to the quality of the spa and the girl, although again, I understand if they collect before the service, to make sure they don't get beat.

Oh yes. Too many stories I've heard like that. Or guy will leave a 50 dollar bill wrapped around multiple singles and leave it on the dresser and the girl wont count it until hes gone and then she counts it and it doesn't even exceed 60 bucks. For a 200+ dollar session.

I tend to over tip so that might be worse in the long run too. But i can't help it. Good service gets rewarded by a good tip.

Big tipping is a very American thing. it impresses other people and makes us feel good. It's ingrained in our culture that if you don't tip you're a cheap bastard. Also the way we show appreciation. Many countries do very little to no tipping. Japan, where service is superb, is not a tipping society. It drives up the prices and with this expectation and emphasis on money, the service ultimately suffers.
But we're in America and it is what it is.
