Haggling should only be an issue the first time with a provider. If you decide to see them again, then you're going to know what they will expect for the services rendered, and whether you are willing to provide them with the funds they require. You kind of have to put yourself in their place for a moment. They don't want to get stiffed - no pun intended. If you were contractor going out to prospect a job, would you start it without having an agreement as to what you would be paid?
