I went “window shopping” on Memorial Day weekend, to virtually ALL of the spas in Chinatown and surrounding areas, including 9 VIP and Ridge Ave venue(s). Saw exactly ONE attractive woman , Ding Ding at Saigon . I was with a friend and we wanted legit massage after having driven back a long way from a fishing trip. There were several WOC in the menu, but none to write home about. Ended up at San Diego, where the massage was legit , passed on HE (not attractive) plus had to wait 30 minutes for two masseuses to be ready at the same time.

If you fished the way you mongered it must have been one helluva boring fishing trip. Me, I will cast my worm in any waters that look promising that may ultimately become a favorite honey hole. I know there are fish of all sizes and looks in those waters, but usually all good. The sooner I get my worm in the water, the more enjoyable the trip. I don't need to catch the State Record when I fish to consider it a worthwhile trip. I will reflect afterward with a smile on my face as I wander into Chinatown for some good, not necessarily excellent, Dim Sum. Safe to say we will never be fishing buddies. I do hope you held hands during the legit massages. Next time maybe just a legitimate Review of the spa you visit will give us more worthwhile intel.

In all fairness, most places were understaffed, with people away for the weekend. No appointments, so the bigger “fish” were likely busy with other customers

This could open up a whole new way to write reviews, one that would satisfy both the mongers who want details and those who want some more subtlety.

"I fished at Healing Magic Asian Pond yesterday. Was angling for a rainbow trout." [I had a mixed-race spinner].
Or, "was angling for grouper" [she had a few extra lbs.] "
"I had a few nibbles, but couldn't set the hook". [Light BJ, no deep throat]
"Stopped for a quick tuna sandwich" [DATY]
"Almost broke the rod" [jack hammer finish]
"Only caught crappies" [complete waste of time]
"out of the way fishing hole" [anal]
