Yea i highly doubt Koreans live in this area. I google the phone# and found their ad on cityxguide. It did say "South East Asian (Chinese, Thai, Malay, Filipino, etc)" in the ethnicity section.

Btw Fugu, do you know any Korean spots in Brooklyn? I only know the place on ConeyIsland Ave.

Those Korean spots are set up to service the ultra orthodox jews. Without the yeshiva boys and the men with 10 kids and 2 cankles at home the owners wouldn't bother to go so far south. There might be similar places in Williamsburg. On the other hand all of the yeshivas are a few miles east of there near Queens College so that a jaunt to Flushing makes satellite spas impractical.

Yea, but the ads say anything they want. I dont know if lying about your ethnicity is supposed to attract repeat customers. She did talk with the other woman on my way out in a language, but I dont know chinese or korean well enough to distinguish.
as for knowing any kspots, not really. There are probably some spas out there that have a girl or two under their employ, like Gold Spa before that shut down, but I havent seen much besides that and presumably this. I havent run into k-girl only places though. I havent even visited Best Spa ever, despite 1Above being one of my main motivations for getting into the hobby lol.

Interesting. Actually I did write about the nail spot in Greenpoint a while back and despite listing it as Chinese it was a Korean woman. Its not quite Williamsburg but its pretty close. They closed but have apparently reopened a new place on Meeker. Maybe worth another toftt, but I would advise against. Never seen any ads for Williamsburg spas, if they exist they must be really utr.

I havent seen any k-spas in Flushing, will have to take a better look next time I'm around the area.
Any reason why these korean spots are made to cater to jews, specifically the orthodox ones?

What dgj said makes sense. Those Spas who can't compete with the mid town Kspas so they target the "orthodox" Jews. My guess is because they aren't allowed to date outside of their community and they have the money.

Yea its unfortunate but Brooklyn doesn't really have the type clients to support them. I also think LE bust happen more in Brooklyn/Queens. Too many neighbors complain. Manhattan is safer.

If you go on Google maps and look for "lumber" in Brooklyn south of the Navy Yard most distributors are within walking distance of someplace that has been reviewed. I suspect there must but some stuff going on by the Home Depot in Bed-Stuy for this reason alone. I also suspect that the orthodox buses running from Kiryas Joel to the west 30s near B&H Photo are loving the midtown Korean places like most of you lot.

You'll notice that the boundaries are sort of language-dependent. If you were searching in Chinese or Hebrew or Korean than you'll get more clarity and more fun at better prices.

Maybe I'm not in the loop. What does lumber distribution have to do with AMPs?

It's an arbitrary keyword. The sorts of labor or management that might want an afternoon delight or to piss away some money going into a weekend. Once you get out to Queens or Nassau it might turn into "divorce lawyer" or whatever is in the strip mall next to the spas.

"Hedge fund" just won't line up the same way. :)

Back in the day, the orthodox frequented those independent Russians along the Ocean Parkway/Coney Island Avenue corridor advertising massages in the local paper - the courier or whatever. Had friends who lived in those buildings and talk about a walk of shame -- instead of acting like they belonged there, you'd know they were up to something the way they creeped along the hallway walls with their face hidden against it.

It is amazing that there is nothing solid in Sunset Park. I've tried many of those storefront places advertised on nyincall and walked every time. I'm not sure about the places in actual apartments -- although judging by the reviews here they aren't any better. There are a string of places along 7th in the high 40's to the 50's storefronts (one I see has closed though), basements and one on the second floor that I am curious about. I went to one a while back down a flight of stairs and it looked like they had a family living there so I left.

I tried most of the spots located in Sunset Park, almost all of them are fast houses. I was especially peeved out with the one located on 52nd St. It was absolutely filthy and reeked of cigarettes. The girls were young, pretty, and rotated every week or so. The person who handles the Wechat communicates in English and they accept non-Asians. One call system when you are outside and a brother confirms your number before letting you in. I've seen paisanos entering and leaving before. If you want to give it a try you can go ahead but I rather take my money elsewhere where the environment is a little more pleasant.
