There are no Jap girls in Philly or if so they are hidden gems.
This isn't war-time 1942 America. The term "J*p" is widely considered an ethnic slur. Would it be considered acceptable here to use the "N" word when referring to African American provider's? Or "Ch*nk" for Chinese ones? And Vietnamese Tina at Sue's place on Snyder Avenue, would you refer to her as a "G**k" girl? And by extension would S. Philly Italian Tina the early riser be as a "W*p" or "D*go" girl? I don't think so! As a child of a 1950's mixed marriage (Jewish and Italian), I grew up hearing this very type of prejudice and bigotry. No place for it in our "enlightened" society.
