This is the same in just about every workplace - laziness, entitlement, and a shitty attitide.
Its not just generational.
I personally blame the pandemic and social media for attributing to it.
I don't want to go to work every day.
I've been doing my job for decades - I've only got a few years to go til I retire.
However, I don't take my attitude out on the customers - they didn't order that, and without them, I don't HAVE a job.
