What is the name of this place? Is this NYHS? Or a different place?

When I need a good rub, I have gone to West Garden Spa for years. Similar setup to what you described: big locker room with, dedicated table shower lady, no extras. But ever since my favorite masseuse left, I have not been able to find a decent replacement there. Any recommendations welcome.

I prefer Garden Retreat Spa to West Garden, it's much smaller but more private, and does the job just as well. Great massage, decent HE if that's all you're looking for. I always feel like a king afterwards. I can't say the same for FS sessions unfortunately...

Yes, just a weird experience and a cast of characters that day. This place has been around for years. It has that clubhouse feeling where you always see another customer. No attempt is made to keep apart. Impossible with that locker area. Overall, cool clientele with the exception of the poop guy. It's mostly suburban guys working in midtown getting a rub before heading on the Lirr or Metro North.

If this is NYHS (sounds like it is) then that’s disappointing. That’s my favorite place for a great massage/ST and basic service. I usually ask for Sunny and fully enjoy it. It’s clean and big and generally feels safe. But this is making me think twice about returning anytime soon.
