The moment my fifth and final kid left for the Army, suddenly my monthly expenses went from a big number to a not big number. Three minute commute, no medical issues (knock on wood), and my business is booming thanks to those greenies and their newfangled battery cars. After decades of casual mongering, has been now a year of solid debauchery the likes that even Caligula would have blushed.
As fffinster said, clean up your finances, most people are a lot richer than they think they are. And most important, learn how to use excel or quicken, and then DO it. diversify your bonds derr derr
Also, you do you, but 400 bucks is a lot. Have to set reasonable expectations, and a bottom line. If you demand always finding a 10 for an hour, well, ok yea you're gonna be once a month or something. If you believe, like grandfather always said, "sixes and sevens make the world go round", then your budget might go twice as far or more.

There is another thread that is many pages long search for that. Not like your all of a sudden change jobs make a ton more money out of the blue. There are guys on here that that spent 1K or more. Its all in your expectations. Don't worry about those that spend that much. That will never be you - unless you go once a year.
IMHO, pre-covid and post-covid prices changed drastically, and a lot of it seems due to Onlyfans where many providers started making ridiculous amounts of money and decided to jack up their in-person rates as well (I'm a porn star now).
And providers who qualify for a "niche" market- armpit hair & bush, SSBBW, Fetishes - started asking 4 figure rates. Back in the day BBW rates were much lower than regulars or spinners, etc.
Unfortunately, my income did not go up sky high due to covid, so I've gone from fewer Indies to AMPs, and less frequent hobbying.
