What's the best place to get a steak in New York?

Who makes the best steak in NYC. I have few opinions myself. . . personally I think the best steaks aren't made at steakhouses. I like Craft's rib eye a lot. But I haven't been to Keen's in years. Strip House I've heard has gone downhill but when it first opened, holy shit. M. Wells in Long Island City is doing all sorts of bonkers stuff. Roberta's in Brooklyn occasionally drops the bomb with some crazy many day dry aged beef. Yes to Peter Luger but I'm not so interested in Old Homestead. There's just so much cow and so little time. Thoughts?

Not Luger’s that’s for sure...

Delmonico’s or Quality Italian perhaps? I like Strip House, but have only been once and enjoyed the bone in rib eye! Wolfgang’s I enjoyed and didn’t find it pretentious...

Keens I think is also better than Peter Lugers, and it filled with a lot of history. The original AMPReviews or Spahunters... with Mr. J P Morgan or Teddy Roosevelt themselves gracing those halls!

I love Keen’s for the ultimate man vibe. Delmonicos is a classic. Ikinari sucks. Lugars...overrated. Always wanted to go to Old Homestead, as I heard it’s really good too. Maybe I’ll take a break from hobbling and get something good to eat :ROFLMAO:

There's a place in greenpoint Brooklyn that serves an excellent steak. I think it was called amber steak or something like that. I've gone a few times and it's always been excellent.

For a time many people (not just perverts and mongers) thought that the best steakhouse in the city was Robert's in the Hustler Club. I never went there which was probs a mistake.
