Also I can vouch for Meet the Meat in Astoria unfortunate name be damned. Also had a good experience at Christos in the hood too. Skip the fries though. Limp and
not crispyy at all shoestring fries.

Christos is one if my favorites! It’s not 5 Star Michelin rating but does the job for a local spot. Wine selection could be better, lobster mashed potatoes is so good

Who makes the best steak in NYC. I have few opinions myself. . . personally I think the best steaks aren't made at steakhouses. I like Craft's rib eye a lot. But I haven't been to Keen's in years. Strip House I've heard has gone downhill but when it first opened, holy shit. M. Wells in Long Island City is doing all sorts of bonkers stuff. Roberta's in Brooklyn occasionally drops the bomb with some crazy many day dry aged beef. Yes to Peter Luger but I'm not so interested in Old Homestead. There's just so much cow and so little time. Thoughts?
If you got the time and feel like traveling Chadwick's in Bay ridge Brooklyn also hunters in Bay ridge Brooklyn

That last line. I went to Skinflints like 6 yrs ago. For their potato skins n sheperds pie. It let me down a bit. Also they used to have a good rib joint years ago Short ribs. And Casa pepe was good.

skip peter luger's if you're heading over the bridge to williamsburg and get the bone-in tomahawk at st. anselm instead.
Lugers has been bad for the past 10 years. St Anselm is a nice cozy place to enjoy the riibeye. The bar is a great area to enjoy a night out with a date.

Bobby’s Downtown is horrible. The steak was dry and the lamb chops were minuscule and appears to have sat in the counter all day.
