I have been at this hobby for a long time. Rarely have I ever called for an appointment before going to any spa. Walk-ins are the norm, always have been. Occasionally, a spa may use the phone number to screen the person coming as a repeat customer. At other times, if I knew the mamasan (typically K-girl spa), i might call in advance to find out who is in the house and get her recommendation. Other than that, I typically time my visits when spas are typically least busy. In those instances where they are too busy to take me, they just tell me to come back at a certain time. While I don't like interruptions during a session, I accept that there might be occasional interruptions from phone calls (asking for appointment or info) or walk-ins. If it becomes too annoying, I won't go back. Every spa has the option of putting a phone call into v.m., or a sign on the door or reception desk saying "busy, come back at ..." so the session is not interrupted. But most don't and the "receptionist" is almost always one of the providers. I would never steal another person's appointment, but I also know a lot of guys don't show even if they make an appointment. The "warm body/cold cash" mentality takes over and the spa takes you in unless they are certain of an appointment from a repeat customer. I don't read these Reviews for appointment preferences. And I don't expect others to do so either.
