I was at the chinese place a couple stores down today and walked by. The place is very open I saw a nice looking girl sitting inside. I feel that the way this place is setup and with the little sign by the street they want walk ins. Btw the china wok has a very cute looking lady I believe she is the owner. I highly recommend the chicken lo mein and steamed rice.

I think we all know I meant Mandy. AKA the new girl. I can tell you they don't want walk in's. Don't know why you would think this. Call from the parking lot. How hard is that. You walk in and someone has to leave in the middle of a sesson to deal with your lazy ass. Sorry if I sound like a dick but it gets old. I'm a right now guy. I have actually parked in front of this place and called for an appointment. They say when you want. I say right now! works for me. I'm not a bell ringer out of respect for all of you!

I explained why walk ins they have a sign right on the street those signs are to attract business. The place is in a strip mall and open. They have a desk in the front ...if the doors where covered that would be a different story. I don't mean to sound like a dick but the average person sees this place they will not call. Also there is a desk and a girl there that usually means they are a recepionist, I did not see a bell on the front are we talking about the same place? And of course they want walk ins more money. You never turn business away sorry but i believe there is more people in this area going for a legitimate massage than extras a lot of disposable income in that town

You show you haven't been at this long. I'm telling you from a lot of experience and the owner telling me they don't like walk in's. The number is on the sign out front! Of course they will try and accommodate you but trust on the way out they will say next time call ahead. You just don't get it. Maybe your session's have never been constantly interrupted by your attendant having to constantly leave your room to answer guys like you just ringing the bell or walking in.
This is not the normal AMP many of us are used to. Yes people walk in there but most have appointments.

I am not a expert but of course the owner will tell you that . You show that you are not a businessman. From other reviews I have seen there is more than 1 girl working there am I correct? Do they have a front desk at this specific place? I am not talking about the store front sign. They have a curb side sign that is there to attract more business.Roadside signs are to attract walk up customers. They want to get new customers then get repeat customers Of course once they get a new customer they will tell them to make a appoinment. You are missing my point as in any business you want to grow the business the rent is not cheap . As I said before this is the mainline a lot of people with money to burn. Have a good day sir.

I have been at this hobby for a long time. Rarely have I ever called for an appointment before going to any spa. Walk-ins are the norm, always have been. Occasionally, a spa may use the phone number to screen the person coming as a repeat customer. At other times, if I knew the mamasan (typically K-girl spa), i might call in advance to find out who is in the house and get her recommendation. Other than that, I typically time my visits when spas are typically least busy. In those instances where they are too busy to take me, they just tell me to come back at a certain time. While I don't like interruptions during a session, I accept that there might be occasional interruptions from phone calls (asking for appointment or info) or walk-ins. If it becomes too annoying, I won't go back. Every spa has the option of putting a phone call into v.m., or a sign on the door or reception desk saying "busy, come back at ..." so the session is not interrupted. But most don't and the "receptionist" is almost always one of the providers. I would never steal another person's appointment, but I also know a lot of guys don't show even if they make an appointment. The "warm body/cold cash" mentality takes over and the spa takes you in unless they are certain of an appointment from a repeat customer. I don't read these Reviews for appointment preferences. And I don't expect others to do so either.

I have been at this awhile myself. In the past several years I have been having better luck with calling mostly from the parking lot of the spa. Seems to go over very well. Everyone has his own tactic. I just know certain places prefer calling ahead - certainly not all of them. Also - this particular spa is different than most in many regards. That's the reason I even replied in the first place. I was done with it until I saw it was you, Scuba that replied. Yes this is a business and if they can they will take you. They have a lot of regulars now and are doing great. This place - no way in hell a girl with no English is gonna be at the desk. Also - times are changeing with many of these places as they are forced to be more "Real" other than the old days.
So, now i'm gonna be done with this.

Very disappointed to read this comment from you. I don't operate that way and, although I have had the bait and switch tried on me when I have appointments, and the repeated interruptions from walk-ins during my sessions, I have walked many times and cut sessions short myself because of interruptions. But, IMHO, the demand has outstripped the supply and the talent has generally deteriorated. I still try to develop relationships with the girls and the mamas when I find a keeper. But when I rarely walk in and ask for a girl that is busy for more than 15 minutes (always becomes a 1/2 hour), I either take another girl or walk. Because I have been on the receiving end of that bullshit and I don't like it. Different strokes for different folks.

You are replying to Scuba but I have to add What you are saying is not really on point of our exchange on this topic. I appreciate all comments no doubt. Just stay in the context. None of us are perfect and we all have a different way do do business. I hate the haters that think they are the only ones that know. I've got 30 years in this. Some of the people one her can go F themselves. All good. Welcome to ALL points of view.

Well, I thought my response was precisely on the point you made in your review and follow up comment. What is your point now with my comment ? That I disagreed with Scoobie ? He and I have PM'd for years and at length on mamy issues. He made his point public and so did I.. What is the issue that I wasn't on point about ?

Hey guys, I was just giving a different perspective from my own experiences. No need to get personal with one another. There has been enough said in this thread for others to get a good array of opinions and they can use the info as they see fit.

Joanna's has big open windows and a display of retail items that are visible to anyone walking by which gives it walk in inviting main street feel. However, it's always best to call and make an appointment. It doesn't take that much effort to call and shows consideration. Problem is if the boss is busy, doesn't matter if you call or walk in, it's an interruption. Personally I always call even though I know my appointment can be jumped to taken by someone who arrives before I do.
