What would you tell yourself before getting into this hobby?

This is mainly for younger people, but older people can reply as well.

Knowing what you know now, would you still have gotten into this hobby? Mostly from a financial point, I guess. It might not seem like a lot at the time, but let's say after being in this hobby for 20 years, that money could maybe have been spent on a house. Have you ever thought about where you'd be if you never gotten into this hobby? Obviously, it's different for older people since they have needs that likely aren't being met at home at their age.

This hobby also makes it hard to get into a relationship, knowing that a girl you meet probably won't be as skilled as girls that you've been with from hobbying. Also the fact that you will probably cheat with a provider during your relationship.

I'm leaning towards telling myself that I shouldn't have gotten into this hobby, but I've only been in it since 2018, so I'm looking to hear from people who have been in this hobby for longer than I have.

Limit yourself to boinking the same provider 3 times max. No matter how good of a screw they are, anything over 3 times and you're not there for the sex anymore and instead starting to play with fire.

My answer is a great big NO.
I've been doing this for 35 years. Since I was 19.
If I could go back in time, I would have:
- went ROTC in college
- lifted weights like a mother fucker
- worked on other life skills, like fight training, auto mechanics and home repair
- saved my money from my hard work
- not care if it took me to 25 or 26 till I got laid
- started an IT consulting agency instead of being a worker bee (even if a "higher paid" one).
- invested heavily in real estate
- traveled the world
- banged hot young girls for free working as secretaries/admins/junior sales reps looking to advance

Don't get me wrong.
I'm doing OK for a guy my age.
I do well financially.
I'm in very good shape for a guy who will turn 55 soon.
I can afford to bang hot young escorts 3 times a week.
I still can do 2 pops per session.
I have a really great, young, cute regular.
But...
I am also one lonely motherfucker.

God, if I knew 35 years ago what I know now...I could have been so much more.

How much have you spent on this hobby? Kinda makes me want to consider quitting this hobby knowing that the money I've spent/will eventually spend could be invested in stocks or something for a greater return.

I would tell the younger 'me' to NEVER SETTLE is you're paying. Be more selective. I didn't care. I almost felt lucky that any provider would see me and now I know that's not the case. If you've got the right cash, you're Idris Elba or George Clooney to them. They don't care. Hell, in some of the interactions, based on looks and performance, they should have paid me. haha

Instead of wasting money on three substandard experiences in shithole places, I'd save that cash up for a top shelf experience at a clean, classy place instead. I have almost no recollection of the myriad 'dog food' experiences I had but my memories are sharp about the few porn stars I've been with, the threesomes and the truly magical, Presidential sessions I've had. Those were worth every single penny.

And as far as the amount of money I've spent in the hobby overall, yeah....I'm sure it's been a lot if someone could tally it up but it was worth it. Quality experiences are worth it. I've seen some things and been in some amazing situations that I'll remember when I'm in a rocking chair in the old folks' home and I'm GREAT with that.

I would also tell myself to always listen to my gut and if something doesn't feel right, just get out of there. By pure luck, I've narrowly avoided being robbed or getting busted by LE twice. Once when I was a few minutes early to a hotel meetup and I was on the elevator with the guys discussing 'robbing this n_____a that's about to come up to Room 312'. They got off on the third floor. I got off on the fourth floor, took the stairs and almost ran to my car. The other time, I was about 50 yards away from the front door of the spa as the police rushed in with the warrants. It was like a movie. I simply kept walking on by, circled the block and drove home.

I would tell myself that Rimming is more wonderful than you think it is. Greek and Doubles , while awesome to see in porn, are actually kind of disappointing in real life experience, not worth the extra dollars!

If I didn’t start j would have had a house, savings and married with kids already. Sure I have great memories but shit after working so many years I’m broke, sad and lonely with only temporary happiness.

I could have easily retired 10 years ago if I had not spent what I do on this "hobby", and invested it instead.
As long as I stayed unmarried, that is.
Have to weigh in the danger of marriage->divorce->asset division->alimony->child support.
I am doing OK financially even with what I piss away on escorts.
If I were divorced and paying chlid support, or forced by a judge to pay for kids college, I'd be up shit's creek.

100% correct.
I was a 19 y/o virgin when I was a Junior in college and I was sick of it.
So I drove down to 11th Ave after school one afternoon in September to take care of that.
The girl could tell I was a newbie, and she ripped me off good. The experience was so bad that it took me almost 5 months to get my nerve back up to try again.
So technically I was 20 when I lost my virginity.

Yes, had I been "popular" in HS and College, with girlfriends, I think my life would have been much different.
But that just wasn't in the cards for me.

If i could go back and talk to myself, i would’ve just advised myself to skip the duds and go straight for the best girls for GFE between the boroughs. And settle on 3 maybe 4 providers for the regular.

Real talk though, I’m not that deep in the expenses dept but everything still adds up and it’s still money.

The money wasted on hobbying isn’t worth the nut here and there for most people.

The only thing I'd tell my younger self is SLOW DOWN! Everything in moderation. There have been periods where I spent more money than I should have, enough to fuck up the timing of some financial goals. If I would have just set reasonable limits for myself, I'd be better off.

advice to myself 10 years ago...DON'T DO IT, cause once you open pandoras box there's no putting it back in!

BUT if you must....
#1 it's okay to walk out, it's okay to send it back to the chef
#2 it's okay to walk out don't waste your money on duds
#3 it's okay to walk out quality visits over quantity of visits

Alternative perspective to most of the above: Kinda wish I'd started five or ten years earlier. The hobby has been good for me.

Making money is easy. Managing it is hard.

For those of you in your 20s and 30s, focus on saving up for a home as well as paying off debt such as a student loan. Once you have achieved a short-term goal (e.g. paying off $5,000 of your debt or getting a nice raise), then reward yourself by going to an amp and have a good time.

Also, for those of you in your 20s and 30s, you don’t need SA. Date civvies (especially those who have their sh*t together) and learn from each experience. I dated a lot of civvies during my 20s and 30s. I struck out so many times but at least I learned from each experience.

Finally, all of these working girls from the sex industry (amp providers, SA, room salon girls, KTV girls, indys, etc) are professionals. They can smell an easy target from a mile away. So if you’re with them and you smell bullsh*t, then it is. Have fun but don’t get too caught up.

If I'd been hobbying in my 30's, would've saved myself the stress and aggravation (and time!) of a number of failed relationships (including my marriage lol).

May sound insane but hobbying has improved my marriage. I discovered that it's unrealistic to expect my life partner to satisfy all my weird sexual needs. It's too much to ask. Once I stopped relying on her for that I was able to let go of ton of resentment and enjoy what she has to offer. There's no conceivable reason why over a, now 28 year relationship her needs should match mine.

If I spent this much time and money in my 20s and 30s, I wouldn't have done much else. Plus, I would have missed out on a lot of other great things. Good and bad. Thankfully I didn't know about amps then. It's very addicting and very expensive if you go on a regular basis (unless you're making a good 6 figure income). You're going to be an old fuck one day. Think it through before you piss away all your money on beautiful, hot, delicious, velvety skinned asian girls.
But there is nothing better!!
