Should we be concerned…, or just a bunch of HYPE?
There was another thread on this . Previously I left a very informative link . Here are the Cliff Notes .
If you ever had a smallpox vaccine you are 89% protected against Monkey Pox
It can spread via sheets or bedding .
It is very painful with a 3 week incubation period and a 4-6 week recovery. It feels like chard’s of glass under your skin
Aside from this disease cases of Polio were detected in the water supply in Rockland County. Again if you were inoculated for it as a child you have life long protection - ditto for smallpox . Why we ever stopped vaccinating for it is beyond me .
If you are inoculated for smallpox and polio you are fairly safe . Let’s not forget Covid . Three months ago having had two shots and two boosters I got it one month after the second booster .
Paxlovid saved me. It was gone in 48 hours , I had a rebound days later very light - like any cold I was weak for 10 days after and a slight cough .
The doctor told me we get very little protection against BA5 from the current vaccine .
Make sure the sheets and pillow cases are changed whenever you go - that’s a big deal . Take a good look at the provider and check for rash or lesion .
And remember , even if for the moment it’s a fat disease , how do you know the girl you see unknowingly sees bi sexual men. They don’t advertise it, once upon a time AIDS was a gay disease. Guaranteed it’s already crossed over to seemingly straight men and women . The bedding is a big deal as are the sheets and towels - as well as that Table Shower. Let them spray it with Lysol Bleach spray or maybe just opt for the standing shower.
Be safe, be vigilant, be careful , be smart.
