I absolutely appreciate the information you’ve been providing, and meant only respect (I like Fauci!) However, I couldn’t resist commenting because of the irony and dark humor in the fact that I had engaged in every skin to skin and fluid exchange activity humanly possible (short of a blood transfusion) right before I read your comments. I’m not the paranoid type (which has not always served me well) and I do believe what’s done is done. Forewarned, however, is forearmed.

A lot of ignorance around people saying it’s a “gay only virus”. Viruses don’t care about sexual orientation lol and people who play for both teams certainly exist. There’s probably less reason to be concerned if you’re older, but for us younger guys or really anyone born after 1972, we’re probably not vaccinated for smallpox.
I’m probably gonna pause on mongering for a bit, personally. Monkeypox sounds terribly painful and can grow in any orifice. That means your mouth, butthole, and apparently even your eye sockets. Won’t be much of a point in any of this if I’m blind

I am older and am also abstaining till the medical community wraps their arms around this .
You absolutely should vaccinate for monkey and small pox - generally they do both , but ask. Also polio is now all over with cases now being reported - it was picked up in the NYC water supply. That is a barometer . During Covid we learned that viruses of an endemic or pandemic nature appear in fecal matter weeks before hence the sewage water exhibits its presence . Put a polio vaccine on your list of things to do . All of this has to do with the global warming crisis - Viruses thrive in warmer weather
