You know, after recent "studies" and "reports" from medical professionals, is hard, very hard, for thinking rational people to have any trust in anything they say or write anymore. Especially agencies that are headed by political appointees and or medical professionals who have reached top of profession and have vested interest in propaganda. And on top of this, a lot of the articles posted in this and the many other topics against this activity come filtered through the TV or other news outlets, which as well in the recent times have been exposed to have been not only making their own stories up, but allowing government employees to influence or outright tell them which stories to write or no write (even worse, writing the stories FOR them lol). I am skeptical by nature, but wow these people make believing any reporting impossible.

As natural scientist, I WANT to hear about this kind of information, I WANT to know, but when even a few percent of the reporting is horseshit, I have to discount the whole bunch. Especially in topic this important to health, and the consumption of such intel makes me alter activity during hobby which is a functional part of my daily life. Boy who cried wolf is no a friend of mine.

I am in hobby more than three decades in all but one continent and at least half the countries of the world, and haven't even gotten dead yet. I also jump out of planes and have gone to places where there was a war happening. I totally understand there are risks, and I think others do too.

This is problem with this kind of statistics though. Ladies who live in motels with other drug addicts and open their legs for five bucks or heroin are included in the stats same as you or I are. I'm no invincible either, but the rates of infections include people who engage in behavior a thousand times more risky than we do. No that there is no chance for me or you to catch this or that this morning, but I have belief that if you sleep with dogs you wake up with fleas, and if you sleep with dogs every single day and night you are nearly guaranteed fleas.

Someone else brought up the Len Bias story. I was in primary school when this happened, and it for sure was scary that one line of cocaina will explode your heart! That was me with the Len Bias story. It had a huge effect on me at the time. I’ve never done cocaine and at this point have no interest, but I used to have near panic attacks when my friends did it and those frenzy states started. Are they about to die? Is it safe to leave them alone and go home? Then slowly the realization arose that I’ve been manipulated by the media and government again.

Another example is this old story about how every provider has been trafficked and has been held against their will. I started to understand what a lie that was 15 years ago when I got close to providers on a personal level. I’ve even witnessed my friends get arrested, and had the police lie, and media amplified stories about how they were liberated.

I don’t really know how many providers have STDs. But I do believe the numbers of STDs in the USA are inflated by street walkers and other low life’s that get the diseases repeatedly multiple times a year and pass them back and forth.
