And how many “regular “ guys are banging these cheats streetwalkers raw, and then save up some extra cash for the more expensive hos that you assume are disease free because they change a higher rate? No am no discounting. But when study says X is Y, well I look at the sample pool and methodology, because am no a monkey that just reads headline and make action on this headline. If say 16% of the people commit 50% of the violent crimes, is crime up? Am I more or less likely to be either a victim of crime or a committer of violent crime? If someone claims for example, that "people are being massacred in the streets by police" and then the data says this is no true, then the writer of the headline is a liar today and always. Cannot have position of supposed authority and lie and then ever expect anyone to believe. I mean, I guess monkeys will believe, but monkeys believed for a quarter million years that a magic man carried a golden disc across the sky every day. So, yea.
During COVID time, "cases are up" was the headline and the entire story, people with authority to make me lock the doors of my plant and send men and women home without job made decisions based on this. But it turned out that there was more to "cases are up", turned out immunocompromised made risk many times higher, obese, smoking, and so on, to the point that a huge majority of us looked at each other like ok but why am I locked out of my business? Again, burying useful data inside other data to achieve an agenda or mitigate blame for failure to act in correct way.
Say among 100k persons studied, 10% are the people I referenced, people who live in motel and open legs for everyone bareback and are also IV drug users and maybe they go to the jail often too, don't eat right, smoke, and so on. This is 10k persons. The rest are 90k persons, everyone else, of which I am member of this set. If each set has 500 cases, then total cases are 1% of the studied set. Now say ten years later we study, but now there are 15% cityfolk, and their cases went up 10x, so now 5000 cases. But for everyone else, there are 5% fewer cases. Total cases are now 5.5% of studied set, a 450% increase!!!!!!!!!!!!. I can publish headline, CASES ARE UP, RUN FOR THE FUCKING HILLS YOU DIRTY SERFS! But I am in the subset whose cases actually went down in both fraction and actual count. My alarm bells don't go off for this.
When I see study is signed by some dickhead who recently said COVID will kill us all if we don't lock ourselves in our homes, or any of the other horseshittery we have heard from our supposed betters, I see study with no subset data and I see insignia of organization that I do not believe, I might go bareback tonight just because.

I just landed here in San Fran from the Singapore, and I can assure you I could see continents and ocean and sky and it was all there.
Last, as others mentioned, if there is money in curing or treating resistant STD, then someone will do it, and it will happen. However, there is often the same amount of money in just managing the diseases, as with current HIV drugs, so companies will say ok I can cure a guy for 10k, or I can make him feel better for 2k a month every month forever. I don't know or care what agenda is for people who publish studies with obfuscated data, or agenda for people who present these studies in television or internet also without any underlying data, but can imagine the agenda is no to help us to make correct choices.

Scientists are often too optimistic and sensationalize things to attract attention. Attention= more funding for research.
But treatment vs vaccine is false in regards to profitability.
There is nothing more a pharma ceo would like than to have the exclusive formula and patents to cure a disease. Every single human being is a potential source of revenue and you get to sign multi billion dollar contracts with governments for access to the cure.
An herpes or hiv vaccine is gonna generate trillions in revenue, easily.
True but in women their pap smear will come up hot at which point a doctor will start looking inside . In men you will have a cauliflower shaped tag like wart growing out of your dick shaft that keeps getting bigger . You will need to get it frozen off and biopsied to see if it is one of the 13 strains that can cause cervical cancer in women . If it does you must wear a condom forever . Although there is a shot in under 45 year old men and women - it only works before you contract it. Afterwards there is no cure and you can pass it to someone forever.
