FAIR LAWN — A borough resident was among three charged with prostitution after an investigation into separate spa and massage parlors in the borough, police said.
The women were charged after allegedly offering sexual services to undercover officers during massages, Sgt. Brian Metzler said in a statement.
The two-month investigation was launched after police received increasing reports from residents believing that there was prostitution occurring at three locations.
"Residents became suspicious after seeing large numbers of men come in and out of these businesses," Metzler said.
Chen Fengxia, 53, of Fair Lawn, was arrested on Nov. 27 after an undercover officer made an appointment at Unique Massage on 25-15 Fair Lawn Ave. It was during the massage when Fengxia allegedly offered to perform a sexual act, prompting the officer to arrest her.

Two similar arrests were made in October, as Xiezhen Lin of Flushing, Queens, was arrested on a prostitution charge at Eva’s Spa at 4-06 Fair Lawn Ave. on Oct. 3. Fifteen days later, Huazi Cui of Leonia was also arrested on the same charge at Good Time Spa on 12-82 River Road.
