Damn that 1st one in Queens was last month.

Your intentions are correct. HOWVER, GUN LAWS IN NY AND NYC are fucked up. You can literally go to jail for having an unregistered pistol and firing it. I have a conceal pistol permit, legal in my state. But there are severe restrictions on where and how your pistol is used.

Yes, it’s virtually impossible to carry a gun in NYC legally. Probably almost impossible to own one too.
But if I felt truly physically threatened like it seems like these lower tier amps are, I think I’d find a way…
Travel to another state to buy one, at least get a heavy-duty taser, etc.

Reminds me of the FH in CT I once went and got this BEAUTIFUL woman. However.
