His name was Paul Andre Michels. 54 year old Army veteran, dad, husband, brother, family man, security system tech and good natured handyman just helping his friends and doing a job for them. It's like that sometimes. You do work for friends, and sometimes people you do work for become friends. They have you over to eat and maybe some soju.
Then some random self loathing asshole who can't reconcile his twisted faith with his prurient obsession goes on a rampage ending 8 lives and destroying the lives of those they loved.
This wasn't the Asian hate which the virtue signalers immediately ran up the flagpole. It's not a gun control issue since the 9mm has never been declared an assault weapon nor has it been suggested to be banned. The weapon was lawfully purchased and there were no red flags. The murderer was described as "super nice, super Christian"
Well pardon my Catholic high school education, but Christ never harmed a soul. His disciples and close circle included women not so different from those slain in Atlanta.
What deeply troubles me is that Paul is much like me. I have been between jobs doing light construction and handyman work, yes even in a massage parlor owned by good friends in the local Korean community.

Stop the virtue signaling and making political hay. Our world has real problems that need direct solutions so people aren't driven to madness.
Be good and kind to each other and help where you can. And if you cant help, then at least don't hurt anyone.
