Becoming a Monger

To get it started:
For me it was pretty simple. There was this spa on off a PA route I would drive by all the time. I noticed the spa and became ever more curious about it. One day, I got up the courage to stop there. I thought I could use my CC, but (luckily) the Mamasan told me I needed to have cash for the HF and a tip (back then, the HF was $50 and she suggested a tip of $30). So I drove to an ATM and got the cash, went back and paid the HF.
I had no idea what to really expect, except a massage. But just walking into the spa required some amount of courage and it felt like I was walking through the Looking Glass (which, in hindsight, I was). After about 40 minutes of regular massage, the girl started doing some ST and had me turn over. Then she gently grasped my dick and started giving me a HE. I almost protested (because it scared the shit out of me), but just relaxed and ended up rolling with it. I gave her the suggested tip and she seemed happy. After that, I was hooked.
For the first 2-3 years, I only went once a month to the same spa. But eventually I noticed and tried other spas in the area. In the Mid to late 80's the classified section of newspapers used to have up to 10 ads that only said the word MASSAGE with a telephone number. I finally called one day and got directed to a legit medical office building. Figured I'm gonna have a legit massage but first sign after knocking was the provider opened the door without revealing herself as she was hidden behind the door. Real dark upon entry and I could hardly see her face. Little direction except "get comfortable". Totally awkward as I left my pants and shoes on. Left high and dry but she told me to come back and get " more comfortable ".Came back the next week and entered the world of happy endings.

I discovered Spa Hunters not too long after I went out on my own and tested the waters. SH made all the difference in my game, finding the Center City Philly spas (Bella's, Fun City, Sun Spa and others) was a revelation. After a couple closed SH helped me find the right places in the burbs until things got better in Center City again.
I can't remember how I initially happened onto the reviews sites. Once I discovered them, I explored as much as possible but without a subscription, so very few details. It seemed like another world and I was on the outside looking in.
Starting in early 2020, I lost my wife, father, and then mother. In the course of carving out a pathforward in life, the Atlanta shootings hit the news and I read about it in depth. I saw how the women in the industry were just single mothers, immigrant entrepreneurs making a buck. Completely different than the unfounded impressions I had had beforehand. It made the industry and the women who work in it "real" to me, and I started hungering to explore that world. I finally got up the courage to visit a local R&T, and the rest is history. Nope

Yes, triggered by my comments on his reviews, I struck up conversations with a younger guy who had been heavily into "the game" for a couple years. We met up, and over time he showed me the ropes, got me screened into a couple of his favorite places, and we made several dozen joint forays.
Then in early 2023, we parted due to "creative differences", and it seems that he is largely out of "the game" at this point, while I continue to barrel along.

Not recruited, per se, but an old friend used to take me along when he made deliveries to a place in Spring Garden, a long time ago and it was a lot different then. Not even sure if I would have considered myself a monger. Kinda spiraled out of control since then, thanks in part to City Paper and my "wanderlust".

It seemed to me that, after my first FS experience at a spa, a switch had been thrown somehow. Before that, the availability of FS had been rare or usually hinted at in an ambiguous way. But after that, the girls seemed to get a lot more aggressive without me having to do anything. It was like they knew I had been turned. For a while, the standard technique was for them to get naked and rub their body against mine while I was laying face down on the table. I knew they were doing that because I could hear them taking off their clothes. That was the golden age, from 2010 up to the Pandemic.
I had a late start, was shy and nervous around women, lost my virginity to a Korean pro in my early 20's on the encouragement of my Chinese best friend...I was naive to this world but he knew a lot more than me, too me this whole thing was very dangerous (STD's) and Taboo, but he was my cheerleader and provided encouragement. Interesting thread. I had been going to a Massage Envy for six months or so before ever stepping foot in an Amp, I didn’t know such a thing existed. I actually saw an episode of Anthony Bourdain where he was getting a foot massage somewhere in Asia, he described it as sort of painful yet rejuvenated after. It intrigued me enough so that I went on a search in Houston’s Chinatown, stopped in an Asian herbalist/doctor clinic, he recommended a place probably a couple miles away. I soon went and asked for a foot massage, goodness gracious it was wonderful only costing $20 plus tip. I visited this legit shop requesting the same girl(Chinese) for around 6 months, a couple times maybe three per month, half the time I did foot massage the other times full body. One day in January 2014, very memorable, I gently touched her inner thigh while face up on massage table eventually touching her kat, no objection no rejection from her, she seemed surprised, TBH I too was surprised I did it, don’t know why other than man vs woman behind closed doors. - Actually had back problem which were driving me crazy so I stopped at a spa that advertised healing hands and went in. The place used to be my dentist office before the practice moved to greener pastures and it fit the bill for a massage parlor. The woman gave me a great massage. On the flip I was just taking whatever was going to be offered. I did not know all I had to do to coax her further was to give her a leg rub. Walked out with a good feeling back but I had blue balls. The second visit was at a second close spa and the provider did not need any enticing to finish the session with a HJ. Now my back and my dick were both feeling great so I was hooked.

- After my second visit, I started searching more information on line and found Spa Hunters. It did not take long to acquire friends and coaches with that site.

- Spahunters turned me from a novice into an expert way quicker than I would have ever imagined. I read reviews, posts, history and absorbed all the information I could. The F___ing rating system in Spahunters did not help me at all. It gave you points depending on number of amps and reviews and DE/NJ/PA had more than enough AMPS around to climb the charts. I went from nothing to top 20 within a year and TBH, if the site stayed active, I probably would have worked my way to the top spot and dethrowned the current 1 guy.
- Top call outs for coaches in my area was Scubatoo and RodneyH. Those two guys were well versed in the DE area at the time.
- Other degenerates were Wayne2050 and Casual. Those guys could definitely eat, drink and fuck me under the table but it has always been a pleasure trying to keep up with them.
Although I'd been to strip clubs on and off since my college days, it never occurred to me to pay women for sex until I hit about 50 and realized that no woman that I was attracted to (even at 68, I only really find fit women from 18 to maybe 35, with no evidence of kids, to be particularly attractive) was ever going to want to have sex with me unless I paid her.
Nobody recruited me, but the first thing I found when I made the decision was MyRedBook. Very helpful for a guy just getting started.

My wife stopped having sex with me in 2011. Was not recruited and never recruited anyone else. No coach involved. Started off with happy ending only places that year, and popped my cherry at an Atlantic City spa in 2012 with full service for the first time. Been hooked ever since. Rubmaps was my first guide for where to go and who to see until they started charging a fee for reading reviews. Then Spa Hunters, and AMP reviews. All three sites have really helped make my mongering journey memorable.
My grandfather introduced me. He is a total alpha, and I always took knowledge and life advice from him, 99% of which turned out so right on that I often catch myself quoting him when teaching my own children or my men in my plant. First time was at a place in Allentown, I can't remember the name, but it was a residential home that was turned into an AMP. This was 1991, I was 16! He had already regaled me with thousands of stories of his mongering from even before the war in Germany, and armed with an already super strong sense of when to hold em and when to fold em, it kind of happened as expected, and I was hooked. I also worked for this dude who was a plumber, he had lost his license from too many DUI, and so I drove him and was his apprentice. This dude knew every strip club and FS/HE joint from Philly to the New York line and from the Delaware river to past Harrisburg. Knew every girl, had a girl for every purpose like a swiss army knife. He was a dope, and it wasn't long before the girls he knew and thought liked him took to me instead lol
