I wouldn't use the term lucky. More often than not, I've had to find new providers when things got awkward after I said "No".

Do providers often asked about your relationship status? Like do you have a girlfriend or are you married? Don't know why they bother to ask but I always tell them I'm single.

Most of the time on my first visit provider tells me " oh , you married".
I asked a few how can you can tell if someone is married or not on first visit?
A few told me " better looking or fit customers usually married'.

I think its just better to wear the ring, and be honest when asked. it saves having to make up creative stories later. Most girls i've talked to dont care, except to be a little more careful texting guys that they know are married, and to make sure he goes out the spa door at night with his underwear on forwards, and no lipstick on his pecker.

Another reason to always be honest is not having to remember which story you made up for which girl .... my memory is not all that good !

Providers ask to figure out the long game potential of each monger.They don’t want a broke single monger pestering them for a date and becoming obsessive.They understand a married dude can be a great repeat customer but won’t be their winning lottery ticket.They want a dude never been married, not too cute and has a home and good income.Don’t think these providers aren’t cunning and great chess players.

I agree with you. A conversation with a stranger has to start with something. Weather? Dumb. Sports? Most can't do that one. Politics? Too dangerous. I think in their mind it is a relatively safe icebreaker.
