I'll be in New York this upcoming weekend. I'm staying 2 days In Jersey City across the bridge and 2 days in Manhattan and was looking for advice. I normally would just drive around but last time going from Jersey City to Manhattan it took me 1.5 hrs to go 10 miles. And another time it took me 2 hours to get to my appt around times square. To avoid awkward texts and conversations with bookers, mms and pps and obviously being late to the point I miss my appt entirely, what do you locals recommend as a means of getting around. Train, bus, subway, taxi, literally does not matter to me. Just seeking advice on what you guys normally do when going to and from your appts in the city. Thanks in advanced and appreciate any and all help.

My rule is to never drive during the week in manhattan as traffic will always be bad unless it’s very early or very late. I’ve missed or have gotten late to appointments thinking it’ll be a 20 minute drive and then it’ll end up being an hour plus. Only times i drive is on the weekends, mainly Sunday.

As a fellow lover of Jamie and Rosalia, two of my faves, you get a non-snarky answer. Google maps is normally reliable for estimated times by taxi vs transit vs walking vs bike and even reasonably incorporates all the insanity the MTA imposes on us on weekends. (Subway still the way to go on weekends). Build in at least a 10-minute buffer for either auto or transit.

Wait, I have to be snarky, sorry. Jersey City is not "across the bridge" by most definitions. We have tunnels down there. But if you are in JC, and not Fort Lee, yes, take PATH into the city. If JC to KoverGirls, PATH to 34th then D to Columbus Circle. If you're in Fort Lee where the bridge is - get Korean food there instead of in the city.

Who are you targeting?

As of right now, my full lineup is not yet decided.. https://www.ampreviews.net/index.php?threads/when-in-rome-the-lineup.191311/ but after more extensive research, I've for sure locked in Helen - NYAF, Salacia - RS8, and my potentials that I am leaning more towards as of right now are Azu - NYCSE, Kylie - DDY, Allysa - SL, Jane - MG. So all in Manhattan. At first I told myself I'd only do 1 a day but realizing I don't wanna miss out on all these good options I might have to go back on that original statement.
