We are also much wiser as seniors than our ignorant bliss youth. I have known many miserable rich people and many totally content poor people. My father was a rich many that lived poor. This is a perfectly fine way to live. He said he never wanted to be a financial burden on any of his loved ones which had amassed to over 100 in his senior years. He actually lived for living with the people he loved. Eating, drinking, talking, crying, helping, shopping etc, etc, etc. His quality of life was measured by the people who loved and respected him in his life and not the amount of wealth he attained through his life. He once said when you die, their will be a hoard of leaches standing in line for your money. Your true wealth will be the amount of loved ones memorializing you.
