THIS is exactly why I don't call ahead. There was a discussion on another thread where members were complaining of being interrupted by walk-ins and that they should call ahead. Well if I called ahead, the caller ID would show my name and I'd now be in the book, which is in the hands of the police!!

Unfortunately that is not exactly true. They ARE interested in any male that is at the spa or patronized it. When I was at the spa that got raided, the police immediately took my masseuse out of the room. As far as I could tell, they did everything they could to get her to say she accepted money for sex. They also told me that if my story about being there for only a massage did not match her's, they were walking me out in cuffs.

No, they cannot ID you for being suspicious. They need to articulate reasonable suspicion that you have committed a crime, are about to commit a crime, or in the process of committing a crime. We are not Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union. We don't need papers to travel freely. Protect your 4th amendment rights. If an officer insist then ask for his supervisor before he violates your civil rights and exposes himself to a lawsuit. Record your interaction as well with either your cell phone or dash camera. You must let him know he's being recorded. Don't rely on his body cam, the content ends up missing.
Yeah, you can say that, but remember what happened in Florida earlier this year. They supposedly issued warrants for 264 customers.

You're referencing an elaborate sting that lasted over 6 months and covered over 19 different spas... you really think they're going to launch that type of a sting in Eastern Pennsylvania? It just seems like they operate 2-3 spas at a time up here. Also, in order to get our names they would HAVE to rely on us calling and giving our real names, know exactly when we were coming in and document something illegal happening. That would mean cameras in every private room as well. I think something of that scale is a little over the rainbow.

Agree you probably won't see an operation on the same scale in NEPA, but that doesn't mean something won't go down. I think the environment is fundamentally changing. In the emerging narrative, the AMP girls are increasingly portrayed as victims and the [White male] johns are increasing portrayed as enablers of trafficking. In short: bad, privileged White man is exploiting poor Asian women. The narrative is fed by do-gooder NGOs who fundraise off this shit. And, unfortunately, the narrative trumps reality. If the Powers-that-Be can nail one of us in a way that helps validate the narrative, I'm convinced they will.
Very well said and I agree with a lot of what you just said. Unfortunately I have had the experience of being caught in a sting about 10-11 years ago and it was just me being completely stupid, not thinking things through and giving WAY too much information prior to and during the whole ordeal. That'll never happen again. I'm too smart for that now. If I sense something isn't right I walk, even if I'm already inside my destination.
... And use a burner number. never use your actual cell phone. You will find many spas would rather you call ahead and make an appointment.
NOTE: The Florida sting netted a lot of names but couldn't post any of them... no actual evidence, just calls. A lot of mistakes and lessons learned from the Kraft sting.
