The damage done to date is definitely irreversible. It will be there forever. But if we continue to post ill-advised messages we create the illusion that things are ongoing. Current messages reinforce the belief that there is something that still needs to be “fixed” and with enough complaints, even the more tolerant police will be forced to take action. The key is to regulate ourselves while there is still a reason to post in the first place.

I agree that these requests seem to be ignored and we "Mongers" have a vested interest in keeping this going but the owners of the site, my guess is, only care about making a few dollars from the advertisements that pop up. Thus no incentive for change. All that being said, if I put my IT hat on ( I used to be and IT database developer) I know that changes can take a ton of time due to the planning, design, testing QA etc. On average for a major interface change and change to the way data is being handled, it would take a month or two minimum. So there is a chance it is being worked on. If that is the case, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD let us at least know. I would hate to see such a helpful forum go up in flames due to the oversharing of a few dumbasses.

Again, Activities will be made private, and the publicly viewable Summary will be gone, but it takes time. Feel free to hibernate until those changes are implemented. Nobody is forcing you to post. We heard Top Jimmy’s decision in terms of search engine and few others under Work In Progress (WIP). Now we know what to do from this point and forward how much we want to share on this site. I am optimistic most of us know what to share on this site. We may see some mongers shrugging their shoulders and post whatever they want to share. Well, I take that back....maybe all this griping actually did do some good. After a rather heated phone call with the head developer about this matter that’s been going on for weeks, I can confirm that he’s actually wrapping up the code changes now.

In addition to removing the publicly-visible Activities and Summary sections, I’ve also asked him to modify the “Address” section to make it more idiot-proof. You’ll still have to report it if someone posts an address that shouldn’t be posted...but I expect you’ll see less of that going forward.

He claims these changes will be visible to users once he takes them from the test environment to the live site, in approx 30 minutes from now.

This will affect anything that’s posted from now going forward. Anything that’s already been posted has been reported and addressed. There is still an ongoing effort to retro back and hit those reviews that have already been posted but removing content from the ones that were posted and not reported seems like censorship to me and people have been very good at promptly reporting items that could be harmful. If you see anything else please let us know.

To wrap this up, if anyone still thinks I don’t care, Id like to issue a big fuck you to you. If that applies to you, I don’t give a fuck how it makes you feel. I’m irritated by some of the remarks posted here. Damn fucking right I can remove any fucking thing I like, including you...but those of you who know me know that’s not how I operate. What I objected to was the ease with which a casual surfer could come across sensitive spa info. For instance, a google search for Blue Star Spa Allentown brings this up as the 2nd hit:

If you click the "Sandy or Cindy" link, you'll find "Activities: FS". If you click "More results...", you'll get more recent reviews, including a Dec 28 review that lists "Activities: TS. ST. CBJ. CFS . That's there for everyone to see, But going forward, there will be no "Activities" and there will be no "Summary" to see from a Google search. That's a huge improvement.

If you see anything else please let us know." Scubatoo, that sounds to me like we can report reviews like those I mentioned, and the admin will clean them up or remove them. If that's the case, then I think TJ has given us enough to move forward.

One last thought: Any time we post an explicit or weakly coded description of an extra, like FS or HE, whether in the old "Activities" section or the new "Private Details" section, we are potentially putting a provider and a spa at risk. Access to "Private Details" is obtainable for $30 or by putting up a fake review. So keeping the women safe is still largely the responsibility of the members here.

Things are headed in the right direction, thanks to Top Jimmy. You bit off a big job trying to blend the best from all the other and past review sites. Keep on trucking while you continue to smooth out the wrinkles.

Many of us came from Spa Hunters (and other sites), So we were use to the editing of our reviews to tone them down to the SH standard. We all complained sometimes but I can't remember one toned down review kept me from trying a quality provider.

If a review struck my fancy, I just pm'd the reviewer to verify the information to find out more.

Let's do our own policing to help TJ keep this site sustainable.
