Almost got caught once. After hooking up with a provider, she asked me to take the condom me home. She wrapped it in a couple paper towels and I put in my back pocket. I totally forgot about it and tossed the pants in the wash. Lucky for me, I went to put clothes in the dryer first, not my S.O. I saw the condom stuck to the side of the washer. Total bonehead thing to do. Yes, I managed to dispose of it without getting caught and yes, I rewashed the load of clothes.

This is going back many years (RB days), but my last GF was a dancer in SF that danced at a couple popular clubs back then. She ended up finding my RB handle & read my reviews, which had all the explicit details. Since she was a dancer, she was already looking at RB & my home WiFi had a similar name to my handle, so she figured it out that way. We ended up working it out but the relationship wasn't meant to last anyway. We're still close friends today.
I got caught about 20 years ago. Got kicked out of the house for a couple of weeks. I lied like crazy about what happened, but at the end of the day it didn't matter what I had said. She believed what she had believed...She was right btw. I still have never come clean about it and it has definitely put trust issues into our marriage. It's rare, however. I'm also getting old and have some health issues.
I know guys that were caught and were completely honest and validated all her suspicions and the trust was able to be somewhat mended. I’m sure it’s never gonna be 100% but lying and making her feel crazy definitely doesn’t help to fix things. I totally get the urge to lie though, if I was caught tomorrow that would be my initial instinct as well.

When caught me, I came clean and admitted Surprisingly my ex forgave me after a week as long as I showed her a clean bill of health from STD testing clinic. My ex said that cheating with a provider was not as bad as cheating with a civilian coz I didn't have feelings for the provider.
Unfortunately our relationship didn't last long after I got caught. I think both me and the ex knew that the cheating was a sign that we had fallen out of love.
