I have seen more and more women require deposits before making the appointment. I always refuse and then catch attitude from them as if I was wrong in refusing to do so. When questioned, the explanation is that they have been stood up so many times, that this is now required. Thoughts??

Get stood up? then do better reference checks. I wont pay a deposit, too much chance of being scammed and Venmo type apps leave a trail. You send a deposit and get ghosted you have no recourse other than leaving a negative review. Even escorts with excellent reviews who want deposits could go rouge or get hacked. IMO theres no one worth it and it only encourages more to do it.

You're obviously going the non-spa route. Spas never require deposits. And there are a bunch of threads explaining why even considering them is a terrible idea...

No one asked for deposit before venmo/cashapp, so that proves it's not absolutely necessary. I understand paying deposit vastly reduces the "no show" risk for providers, but it also shifts all the risk to the clients. That's unfair and I won't do it.

Yup, deposits are a scam. These are trash low life men around the world trying to get deposits in small increments over 1000s of ads all over the world. Most of them post ads on escort alligator (and others) advertising bbfs, cream pies, bb anal, etc. You text them, they ask, where are you located, trying to get small talk. Some will ask for a small deposit to pay for their gas after you agree to meet. All scams.
