Previously there was a thread on the Edison busts that has some good information as many had contributed. That thread was removed. And, we lost the knowledge of those who contributed. I can only guess why the thread was deleted. This comment is not aimed at anyone in particular but I think if we steer away from acrimonious and vitriolic comments, valuable discussions won’t be removed.

Anything you can bring back your memory on the thread, sir? I think it might be useful for mongers.

I agree,
I lived in Manhattan for years. The businesses, property owners and local politics/law have been in bed for generations. So much as to not disturb the flow of profit to all and maintain cash flow without effort in life for the wealthy families involved. This process is being permanently embedded in Flushing NY just as it has been for generations in Philadelphia, PA.
Cheers ! :)

I wouldn't suggest edison, it's going through a big restructuring in that township. So the LE are definitely trying to crack the whip on any complaints.

the people who run these places don't really seem to care about these crackdowns, saw on CL the other day a "grand opening" of a new place, we all know they use that terminology basically forever but probably just one of the old places in a new building and new ladies. I googled it and didn't recognize the building so may really be a new store unless I just wasn't aware of it prior... But seems like lather, rinse, repeat and careful at first.
