Was just checking out Citizen. Saw that elite was robbed tonight. Just want you guys to be careful cuz the other night. I saw another robbery on Citizen next to the botanical garden spa plaza.

Elite spa lets anyone in and they are open 24 hrs or super late. This happened after 1am.

My friend who was the former night manager quit last month due to the amount of thugs in the area hanging out on the weekends.

Back in November someone got shot right outside the utr gambling spot around the corner. No disrespect to the women working there but honestly there's no reason to go there anymore.

I hope the girls and the new night manager are okay.

Oh, believe me. Even with the mask on, the modern technology can be used to identify the thugs. It is harder, I agree, but nonetheless, very possible and doable. The question is whether the detectives would want to to go an extra mile to investigate or just drop it. With all due respect, there's been so much shit happening in Queens these days, I bet the Police is overwhelmed with reports. Unless it is serious, chances are it will go unsolved. Thugs are targeting "vulnerable" business these days. Be safe out there.

I dont think that's true at all. The problem is the cops come after all is done. This has been the case since forever.

I don't think most of these places are equipped with good enough security tech though. It looks more to be just something for people to be mindful of but not afraid of. This is just a very unfortunate

Calling to defund them is in line with redistributing their overbudget for other services in the city, not firing them. Calling to dismantle them is another story though.

This sucks. Also why I've stopped going to spas in general for a while. Maybe someone can shed a little bit of light if it's not too invasive, but how much more business would be loss if they just didn't do 24/hr and ran with more normalized 10-12 hour operations?

Late night on Saturday Elite was usually PACKED. My friend who was the former manager sometimes had to work past his departure time or tell customers they were closing at 5am that were just coming in. Between 1am - closing they would make at least 50 percent of the day's profits.
