Am really cagey about giving someone my DL number and address. Is there any other way to get screened there?
That’s entirely up to EPM. Call or text to 267-563-1205 and ask them. Theirs is the only answer that matters. If you’re not comfortable with providing what they require for screening, then move on.

It was different back in the day. When I first started going years ago all she asked was where I've been before. I told her ADH and 9vip. She asked who I saw at ADH and that was it. No other info needed.

I think things changed after sesta passed but I may be wrong.

To OP. Only other way is if you have references from other agencies.

I was asked to send a picture of my driver's license. I was not comfortable with that and as OldHornDog suggested I moved on. From the reviews on this board it appears that I am missing out on some quality providers but I don't want a picture of my driver's license on someone's computer to be hacked or found via a warrant. We all have our different comfort levels. For those who have passed screening, think of your buddy Pete McCoy as you are having fun there.

Just ask them what they do with the drivers licence copy. I have known these people since before this site opened in 2016. they are very honest and it has always been my understanding that they delete it once you are verified. Your phone number and your name will be retained in their contacts list so they know when you text or call for an appointment they know you have been cleared before. Pete, you are an experienced guy going way back to the older review sites. I'm surprised you don't know the owner(s).

how about Classy Philly? anyone know what they do with screening info?
The business model for these agencies is to require screening of clients,. Period. End of story.
Personally I'd be more concerned if they did not screen. However, I get that some may not be comfortable with it, but like someone mentioned earlier if that's the case simply move on.

not sure exactly what Life Lock would protect against - them getting hacked? them using your info?
Protection from identity theft. I’ve been a LifeLock subscriber for years, and it works! Just days ago in my capacity as executor of my late wife’s estate, I closed her checking and savings accounts, and transferred those funds to an estate account. That same night I received an email and text from LifeLock alerting me that a new bank account had been opened in my name.

I get it - so if my info is hacked I can be protected

I was thinking more about them getting hacked and hackers making info public ala Ashley Madison

probably both services too small for hackers to care about exposure - would be more concerned with stealing $

And while I’m on my soapbox, I’ll share some additional identity/title theft information. I had forgotten all about signing up for this free service for Montco residents. I recently paid off and closed a home equity line of credit. One day I received an email from the Montgomery County (PA) Recorder of Deeds office advising that a new document had been recorded against my home’s title. I logged into the ROD’s public access system to investigate, and noted the recent recording of the Satisfaction for the HELOC.

Montgomery County Property owners can sign up for free for FraudSleuth while logged into the Public Access System. Users will receive alerts if a document is recorded at our office against the information included in their profile. We recommend users set up a profile using their property Parcel Identification Number as it is a unique identifier, and names and addresses are common. To sign up for FraudSleuth, choose "Modify my Users Preferences" on the left hand side of the page once logged onto the Public Access System, then choose to "Configure FraudSleuth Profile.
