I like going before, getting taste buds ready for main course.

There’s always Moritmoto’s, if you’re going large. Personally, I like the sushi at 1225 Raw and Sake - much more financially sustainable. There’s Sang Kee Duck House, if that’s your taste before fucking. And Café Bistro at Rittenhouse Square to get a jump on the can can.

Lots of good choices before EPM. Enjoy!

Pho 20 (get it?)

Good pho and banh mi. Quiet place, open late, and good service.
I can think of at least 3 other places in Chinatown I'd go to before there: Vietnam Restaurant, Vietnam Palace, and "Choo Choo". I'll throw in another recent find: ShangHai 1 for its convenient location and Mao-style braised pork.

After NYC VIPSpot, there's a Panda Express nearby and I always grab a bite there. Between my monger friends, we just ask if anybody's had Panda recently, or let's go get some Panda, or Panda quality was great today, etc.
